As soon as you enter in the SON CALIU HOTEL SPA OASIS, you will understand why we call ourselves "Mallorca's friendliest hotel" for, to the very best of our abilities, all our extensive facilities and amenities, as well as the attentive service of our staff, are all dedicated to gving you the happy and relaxed holiday you deserve. Situated in a small cove with a secluded beach and surrounded by mature sub-tropical gardens, only a very short distance from Puerto Portals, Mallorca’s most exclusive yacht marina, and conveniently located 12 kms from Palma. The Hotel has 221 elegantly decorated double rooms with private bathroom, terrace, direct dial telephone, minibar, hairdryer, bathrobe, safety-deposit box to rent, airconditioning and Sat TV. Comfortable lounges, bar and card room offer a variety of settings in which to relax, and our restaurant offers excellent international and national dishes. The SPA “Oasis” built on 1.100 square meters was inaugurated in March 2007. The hotel guests enjoy free access to the thermal circuit including; steam bath with herbal and salt inhalation, laconium, sauna, ice fountain and sensation showers. In addition fitness room, gym room and a fantastic indoor pool with whirlpool and waterjets. Getting there:
When you are leaving the airport, please take the highway to Palma. After 3 km you turn off to "Andratx" (Via Cintura). You follow the sign to "Andraitx". Take the Palma Nova / Calviá exit, at the t-junction turn right (Palma Nova) At the first roundabout, please turn left and follow the main road. Cross the second roundabout, pass the gas station and drive approx. 300 yards until you find to your right hand side a chemist's shop. Turn right at the chemist's shop ("Farmacia" with a green cross) and you will find the Hotel Son Caliu to your right.

My family were really pleased with the choice of hotel that I had made. It suited our needs for a short break to relax. It was a quiet area but had all the facilities for eating and drinking within easy walking or taxi travel distance. The hotel staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The size of the rooms were bigger than normal and the beds were really comfortable. The fact that it was a spa hotel was a real plus and we used those facilities too. The pool and the pool area was very well kept and well supplied with towels. Overall an excellent hotel and I intend to go back soon.

Spa is a big plus for this hotel. Non-smokers won't be happy in the bar and seating areas as it is very smokey, but our room was fine. Overall the hotel was a little dated but good value considering the Spa and decent breakfast. Being charged 20 euros to use the safe in the room was a liberty though. Also, kids were banned from the spa pool between 2pm and 6pm, but there were no signs up about this - which disappointed our 5 year old, but we managed to adapt to this.

Very good hotel well located and extremely good value. Very good golf packages. Food plentiful and more than adequate. Would recommend and will stay again

Location good if you like peace and quiet, 15 minutes walk to Palma Nova Centre. Staff very good, overall very clean and a pleasent stay.
