"Good bed (single), good breakfast, acceptable bath room, quiet area, good location 15 min walk from Frankfurt exhibition area. Make sure to ask for non-smoking as the smokers room I was first given was drenched with the smell. The small bar was open 24/7 and the hotel next door had a bigger bar incl restaurant. Das 3-Sterne "Sophien Hotel" in der Sophienstraße liegt in Bockenheim, einem Stadtteil, der durch die Nähe von Universität und Messe geprägt wird. Der Stadtteil Bockenheim schließt unmittelbar an Westend und Palmengarten an. Alt-Bockenheim ist ein dichtbesiedelter Stadtteil mit belebten Geschäftsstraßen.
Besonders die Leipziger Straße, die auch “kleine Zeil“ genannt wird, lädt zum Bummeln und Shoppen ein. Cafés und typisch frankfurterische Kneipen steigern die Wohnqualität in dem eigenwilligen Stadtteil.
Über Westkreuz und Nordwestkreuz Frankfurt/A66 (je 3 km) ist Bockenheim an die Autobahn A5 angebunden; welche eine direkte Verbindung in die City Bockenheimer Landstraße ist. Am Westbahnhof halten die S-Bahnlinien 3, 4, 5 und 6; die U-Bahnlinien 6 und 7 brauchen von der Leipziger Straße bis zur Hauptwache 5 Minuten. Die Straßenbahnlinie 16 fährt zum Hauptbahnhof, die Buslinien 33 und 50 erschließen City-West und Rebstockgelände.

WITH THE CAR:
Coming from the North or South: follow the A5 until "NordwestKreuz", then the A66 in the direction of "Miquelallee". From the A66 follow the direction "Universtät/Hauptbahnhof" (University/Central Station), as from the second traffic light, take a right turn to the "Ludolfusstrasse", and directly on your right, you will find "Sofienstrasse". We are to be found at number 36.
WITH PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
Take the underground train U4 from the train station till "Bockenheimer Warte". Then follow "Gräfstrasse" on foot, the second street on your left after "Falkstasse" will be "Sofienstrasse". Follow number 36 |
