Southern Cross Motel & Apartments has 88 airconditioned rooms. We offer 4 levels of brand new modern self contained serviced apartments. Features include separate bedroom with king size bed. Open plan lounge and dining, full kitchen complete with cooking facilities also private balcony. 4 levels of Studio Apartments feature kitchenette with microwave and basic cooking facilities. Some have private balcony. All apartments feature LCD Flat screen TV. We also offer 3 levels of refurbished motel style units. These units are semi contained and offer open plan living area with a friendly, comfortable atmosphere. The rooms can be serviced as requested. The Southern Cross Motel & Apartments complex features a fine Italian Restaurant, Spizzico which offers breakfast lunch and dinner. The Southern Cross Motel and Apartments is located at Kangaroo Point. Easily Accessable to the Buses, Trains and Ferries. We are conveniently situated within walking distance to the Gabba, home of the Brisbane Lions. The heart of Brisbane city, Queen Street Mall, can be accessed via a short stroll through Southbank Parklands then Performing Arts Centre, Museum and the State Library. All of which will take a total 15 minutes only. If you feel like enjoying a spectacular city view, you could try climbing the Story Bridge or picnic on the Beautiful Kangaroo Point Cliffs. All major Brisbane hospitals are within a 10 minute drive as well as Tafe's and Universities.

Getting there:721 Main Street, Kangaroo Point, Brisbane, QLD 4169. UBD - Map 23 12D We are located on the Southside of Brisbane. Corner of Walmsley and Main Streets. Directly opposite the Pineapple Hotel. 35 minutes drive from the airport. 3 minutes from the South East freeway using Vulture Street or Southbank exit. Taxi from Airport is approx $38 Taxi from City is approx $10 Taxi from Transit Centre is approx $10 Shuttle bus from Airport is approx $12 per person. The shuttle takes approx 1 hour.
Check-in Procedure:Office hours is between 0700 am - 0900 pm. After office hours check in can be arranged by appointment. A late check out can be arranged and will incure a fee.
Car parking:The apartments offer undercover parking while there is also free off-street parking is aswell.

Comfortable stay. Room was clean but could have done with a bit of a spruce up.
When I arrived, the room that I was given did not suit my needs, management found me an alternante room straight away, which was great!! Good location, pub across the road had inexpensive, tasty meals. Would stay there again.

On arrival the staff member was very polite and helpful. Once into rooms 1 room had no fidge and aircon not working room very stuffy had to open window. With window open had the noise of the exhaust from restaurant right outside window. when asked about fridge was told that the fridge had blown up the day before and were waiting on replacement(that was fine)fridge replaced last day of stay. no reason given for aircon not working and never repaired during stay. Thank goodness it was that hot during the stay.
Rather small and poky room, which wasn't very clean. Nowhere to sit except the bed, which being only a double was also less than expected.
There was used soap and a shaver left in the bathroom. The room we were given was very noisy, as it had a connecting door to the room next to us and we could hear every thing that was said in that room. Our neighbours had the television on until the early hours.
The motel rooms are in a bad state but the serviced apartments are excellent. I ended up moving from a motel room to a serviced apartment.
Stayed in a room in both bldgs. Bldg A (I was in rm 26) has larger rooms, but older feel. Bldg B (rm 50) has much smaller rooms, but is newer. Better wifi in bldg B on the upper floors!
Friendly staff,car parking good,easy walking to sights of Kangaroo point Mater Private and local restaraunts.Small room but suited our needs. Airing room prior to arrival would have been appreciated . We would use again for value for money
This place is awesome, simple and cheap and not a rip off. Highly recommended.
The apartment which we stayed was very noisy. The King size bed had a matress which was so hard you woke each morning with a sore back. The sofa matresss for our daughter was so worn out that she was quite literally sleeping on springs. The shower door did not work and so you had to shower with it open. Despite reporting the shower door nothing was done about it. The pool was not kept clean, we had some guests over and both their children as well as our daughter cut their feet on something sharp in the pool. I personally would not recommend this hotel and would suggest people considering this hotel to spend the extra $200 and find better accomodation.
It is right on the highway leading to the Story Bridge so try and get a room away from the road if poss. Advertised as having Foxtel Pay TV but the reception ranged from poor to non excistant. Walking distance if relatively fit to Bris City via river and Goodwill Bridge. Down the road from GABBA
There was excess noise from traffic, otherwise everything ok.
