Southern Forest Cottage is a self-contained two bedroom Celery Top Pine timber cottage in a peaceful forest setting. It is suitable for couples, or families and friends travelling together. It features a large deck, open plan living with a wood fire and a well equipped kitchen.
We can accommodate six guests in two bedrooms (1 room with a queensize bed and 1 room with a queensize and a bunk bed). There is one bathroom. Breakfast provisions including fresh baked bread, fruit, free range eggs, cereal, homemade jams etc. are provided on the first night.
The forest and native garden setting provides home for many birds, lizards, pademelons and other wildlife and ensures privacy in a relaxing environment.

Getting there:
Take A6 from Hobart to Southport, turn right into Jager Road in Southport. Follow signs.
Check-in Procedure:
Southern Forest Cottage guests, please come and see us at the B&B upon arrival, we will then show you to the cottage. Thanks. Please note there is no mobile phone reception in the local area. For food supplies we recommend you stock up further north in Dover or Huoville. Evening meals are available at the Southport Tavern from 6 till 8 pm. Petrol and some food supplies available at the Southport store. National Parks pass required when visiting Cockle Creek and the Southwest National Park.
