"The hotel is a good location, with courteous staff and good value for price. My only issue was around internet connection. Their phone line connection was different from usual and they didn't provide what I needed to connect, and there was no capacity at the hotel to check my email web-box on-line. "Conveniently located for our purpose (close to Noth shore Hospital) and comfortable - Although Hotel is in need of refurbishment and air-conditioning would benefit from up-grading, beds were comfortable with full bath in small En-suite. Hotel Description:    This (Australian) family owned & operated hotel is situated on the highest point of Sydney's leafy lower North Shore. Rooms have magnificent panoramic views of Sydney City, the inner Harbour and Darling Harbour and beyond to the Blue Mountains.
Located in Crows Nest the Sovereign Inn is just a short stroll from the Crows Nest gourmet precinct which features many restaurants, cafes and bars offering a great variety of food of all nationalities. Two of Sydney's major hospitals, The Mater and Royal North Shore, are within walking distance.
The hotel's Barons Restaurant & Bar offers continental and hot buffet breakfast daily and dinner from Monday to Thursday evenings. The dinner menu offers classical Australian dishes served in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere ideal for meeting with friends or business colleagues.

Guest rooms are equipped with a desk, working light and direct dial phone/internet connection. Other business services are available from Reception. Three private meeting and conference rooms with a capacity from four to 120 persons are available for hire and all-inclusive meeting packages are offered at very reasonable rates.

An internet café and wireless internet are available in the reception and restaurant area.

Getting There: To drive to the Sovereign from Sydney CBD or airport, cross the harbour bridge using lanes one or two, and take the North Sydney exit onto the Pacific Highway. The hotel is approximately 1.5km up the highway on the left-hand side, 200m north of Rocklands Road.
A taxi from the airport should cost between $40 &$55.
Buses are a very convenient way to travel into the city (journey time approximatley 10 minutes) and there is a bus stop opposite the hotel. The nearest train stations are St Leonards or North Sydney, which are a 12 minute walk from the hotel.

Child Policy: Children 12 years of age and under are free of charge when using the existing bedding configuration of the room . Additonal beds, such as a rollaway, are $30.
