Taupo's historic Spa Hotel, spa baths and park like surroundings, its your natural choice. Wireless internet in all rooms. Hot mineral pool to relax in. With 15 Chalets and 10 twin studio units, we have the room to accommodate anyone. All chalets have spa baths and kitchens with cooking facilities, as well as separate shower/toilet/bathroom. Chalets sleep up to 5 people on two storeys. Our studio units are ideal budget accommodation with 2 beds, kitchenette, TV, separate shower and toilet and off street parking. High speed wireless internet now available in all rooms!! *Charges apply We have an on-site restaurant "Joshuas Bistro" which is open for dinner daily from 5pm. The hotel bar is open daily from 11am and plays host to various bands and functions from time to time. It has pool tables, SKY TV, dart boards and gaming machines for your entertainment. Spa Hotel is Taupos oldest licensed premises and is full of history and charm. It is 1 minute from AC Baths/Taupo Events Centre and 5 minutes from Taupo CBD. Getting there:
Approx 5 minutes from Taupo CBD, approx $10 taxi ride. Coming in on SH1, turn onto Spa Road and follow until you see AC Baths, turn left and destination.

Check in at reception, if requiring a late checkout please enquire with management prior to arrival. Reception open 8am - 9pm, please advise prior to arriving if you anticipate being any later.

I was impressed a rather quaint place to stay if you are looking for value for money and no frills it is a good choice

The Spa Hotel is very reasonably priced & a very interesting place in a good position near the river. Unfortunately, there isn't a single wardrobe, shelf or even hook in the Studio room. To stay for 3 days was hard work. Everything had to be spread over the spare bed. The gig Thursday evening would have been ok IF it had finished at 11-ish, but it was VERY noisey upto 12:30. Having said all of this, it was still good value for money if you could cope!
