Amdist magnificent scenery, this charming, dog-friendly inn is the ideal base for a ski-break in the Highlands, just 8 minutes from Glenshee Slopes and also near Lecht and Aviemore.
The Spitall of Glenshee is located over 2,100 feet (640 metres) above sea level, just off the A93 from Perth and Blairgowrie to Braemar.
It is perhaps the oldest operating inn site in Britain, with evidence of it being occupied since 961 AD. Today it is home to 54 comfortable bedrooms including luxury suites, a fine dining restaurant and ample parking for up to 60 cars and 5 coaches.
The Spittal of Glenshee sits between the Central and Eastern Highlands, on the road to Royal Deeside, at the junction of 4 glens (Glenshee, Glenbeag, Glen Lochsie and Glen Taitneach). This position is not only popular for skiing, but also for climbing, hiking, golfing, mountain biking and horse riding.
