From the bell hops to the cleaning staff, we experienced happy, smiling people that welcomed us to the hotel. Our favourite was the concierge who was extremely helpful and went out of the way to get us restaurant reservations and was most informative about places to go and things to see. We also had delicious meals at the hotel restaurant, the Knight. I expected larger rooms but they were spotless, including the toilets. You will enjoy your stay.

Nice stay in comfortable and clean quiet room. The TV in the room was rather small & old compared to comparitive hotel quality
I absolutely loved it, the staff were lovely and very helpful and the location was great, would definatly stay there again.
Yet again the hotel was just fabulous, with very good service. The room was clean and very well maintained, and the bed was huge and comfy. It's a five minute stroll to anything you could need, which is great. The only very minor niggle is that there was a wait for breakfast and the food was not really 5 star, but it was totally okay and wouldn't prevent me going back at all. Overall, a wonderful stay.
The hotel was excellent, the location was perfect, the room was great. We had a package including breakfast and valet parking which was very good value for money. The staff were all very friendly, the Concierge, Nu, was very helpful and we had a lovely dinner in the Thai restaurant. Would choose the Stamford again.

What a lovely hotel. We had to take our child with us at the last moment, and they accommodated us with a cot, an upgrade to a suite fora nominal fee, and a later check out - so very helpful. The suite was magnificent, as was breakfast. I can't wait to go there again!

For a five star hotel I felt that it was starting to look a bit shabby in the actual room although the lobby and restaurants have been recently revamped. The bigger problem was that my king size bed was two singles pushed together with a topper pad and was very uncomfortable
Would like to have stayed longer, one night wasn't really long enough. Front staff were very professional and friendly. Could suggest you have togs for hire as we forgot to take ours. Apart from that very nice place to stay.

Whilst everything was clean and in a good state, we expected it to be more luxurious. The bed was hard and the pillows not very comfortable. I would rate it 3.5 -4 star, not 5 star. There is better value elsewhere. Location excellent

The Stamford is always a great place to stay at- we like it.
Over priced, penny-pinching on extras in the hotel. $19 to rent a movie is silly. So called 'deluxe' room has nothing deluxe about it. Just too much money grubbing going on here. Book a room at Quest instead - save money and get better facilities.
