Stamford Plaza Brisbane

We enjoyed everything about our stay at the hotel except that the valet parking was exceptionally expensive from our experiences elsewhere. Staff were very friendly and professional. Buffet breakfast was very nice and it was good to be able to eat it on the terrace overlooking the Brisbane River. The room was very comfortable and had good views.

The room was very good. Good bed, excellent views (I had a corner room with a view of the bridge and up the river), enough space to be comfortable. The bathroom was clean and very spacious. There are lots of restaurants around, you are right on the river and a short walk from the centre of town.

Rooms a little dated but compensated with an overall sense of elegance. Great location.

Great location on the river for walks and views. Meals are a little expensive - $35 for a main. Car park underneath still closed due to the recent floods but rooms are uneffected. Gym was well equipped but needed better A/C. Heated outside pool was a welcome surprise. Will stay here upon my return.

Excellent place to stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good value for money. Rooms were nice and clean. Food was excellent especially the burgers! Will definitely stay there again.

very nice accomadation one of the best

The deluxe room was well decorated with a lovely big bathroom and we enjoyed the l'Occitane products. The service in the Brasserie Restaurant was very good, no matter what time of day we went or whether for food, drinks or coffee. We wouldn't recommend staying here if you have a car - there is insuffient parking avalable, and even paying $40 for valet parking didn't guarantee a parking under cover. As the face of the hotel, we found the concierge team to be ineffective and inexperienced - they didn't greet us when we entered the hotel during our stay and in fact most times would stand giggling to each other as they checked out the computer. In general we found the ambience of the hotel pretty cold, particularly as we were there over the Christmas period.

We found the location of Stamford Plaza Brisbane perfect. Was in a quiet, leafy part of the city. The view from our room overlooking the Brisbane river was superb. Facilities were very good particulary the breakfast as we chose to sit outside overlooking the river. The walking in the area was great, in all a very pleasurable stay.

We had a nice night but found the Pillows to hard to sleep on and the shower could have done with mould remover-a bit off putting.

We enjoyed our stay, the views were fantastic, the atmosphere was lovely, location central, lots of places to eat and the staff were very helpful. The only thing I can say as a negative is that they hold $300 on your card on check in, even though I pre paid accomodation. This is the first hotel I have ever stayed at that have done this and I have stayed at hotels around the world. Usually they take a swipe but don't actually freeze funds. I would highly reccomend they tell you this upfront.

if only everyone in the hotel was as helpful as the Concierges, it would have been a fantastic stay. Overall we liked this hotel especially the location, there were no great offers so a little expensive.

The hotel was convienently situationed, facilities were good. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. My only downside comment would be the cleanliness of the room, I did not appreciate finding toe nail clippings on the carpet (not ours)! Also a light in the room was not working and paper was peeling off the wall near the window. Unfortunately because of this I would think twice about staying in the hotel again.

All rooms have river views which was good but the breakfasts were too pricey.
