Getting there:Stamford Plaza Melbourne is located in the CBD on Little Collins Street, between Russell and Exhibition Streets. FROM THE AIRPORT: SELF DRIVE Enter Tullamarine Freeway, drive approximately 18 kms into Melbourne city, take the Flemington Road exit, follow through to the end of Flemington Road, then turn right at the round-about into Elizabeth Street, then left into Lonsdale Street, right into Exhibition Street, then right into Little Collins Street. SHUTTLE BUS Skybus operates 7 days a week, including public holidays. It's a 20-minute average trip between airport and city. Skybus departs every 10-15 minutes between 06:00 and 21:30 and half hourly or hourly at other times. The Cost is $16.00 one-way, or $26.00 return (2 trips). LIMOUSINE A chauffeured luxury service that will cost AUD $85.00 one way TAXI The estimated fare will cost AUD $50.00 one-way.

Over all quite a good experience, breakfast was nice, room was large and the couch was comfy in the lounge area- but I don't think a hotel of this quality should be using plastic flower arrangements ... a bit tacky really, also we were struggling to get our bags out of the shuttle van - no assistance offered by the doorman at any stage.
Speedy check in, room was ready on arrival at 1200hrs, clean and tidy in a quiet part of the hotel, Fitness centre was good with good cardio machines, however the aircon in the gym could have been cooler or access to the cooling system would have made the work out more pleasant. Also the spa bath jets were pretty uesless and the safe was reading error and required a call to maintenance who were prompt and fixed the problem without any hassles. There was no where to buy soap powder in the hotel for the laundry or rather the housemaid had informed us so. And the access to the internet was near the dinning room table and not near the desk - so the laptop had to sit on the table instead of on the desk where it should have been. Otherwise, great service and a very pleasant hotel to stay at. We would be pleased to stay there again in future and we would highly recommend this hotel to others.
A pleasant stay at a nice hotel. Only negative aspect was that WIFI was not available as part of room rate. Charging $20 for 24 hrs is very expensive when you consider most 5 star hotels all over the world offer free WIFI facilities.

BEAUTIFUL. Stunning foyer, friendly and helpful staff. The glass elevators were remarkable and we were upgraded for checking in later at night, so we felt we got more for our money. Room service food was a little dissappointing but over all the new one on the top of our list.
This was our second stay here. I picked it for the pool in case Melb. was stinking hot. Alas, the pool was stinking hot, luckily the weather wasn't. We earnt in-house crdit by reducing the amount of servicing to our room. This gave us a $30 dollar discount at Harry's Restaurant where thew food was very good. Close to theatres and the MCG. Would use again but turn the pool heat down for summer.
Overall we had a really lovely stay in a great location and can honestly recommend the hotel to others. There were a few glitches like the air conditioner not responding as well as it could and the room not being made up until one late afternoon, but overall the hotel was excellent value thanks to HotelClub. I phoned the hotel direct and they were 30% more expensive for their best offer than Hotel Club!
Met with a friendly greeting on our arrival and at checkin were advised we had a room upgrade which was a pleasant surprise. Bags picked up at reception & made it to the room before we did. Our bedroom had a bay window overlooking Little Collins St which made it bright and airy & made a great spot for a late lay-in or to watch the inhouse movies or just hangout in. Service was great without being intrusive.
We were happy with all aspects of the Stamford Plaza. Staff provided efficient and courteous service. Would look forward to staying again if all rooms are the same as that of this visit.
The staff are very helpful, and also was upgraded to a suite as well.

Good location with great cafes for breakfast within a very short walk. Room was compact and we stayed in a twin bed one bedroom but it seemed like a studio room to us as the bedroom was unable to be closed off. When mentioned at reception they did not seem to care.
Great place to stay, central location, helpful staff. First time visit for my partner and he loved it so much he would definitely stay there again next time in Melbourne. It felt like a real holiday.
Very hard to fault this Hotel. Great location and staff very helpful. Room was fantastic. We were there for 3 nights and the room was always immaculate whenever we came back in the afternoon. Very well insulated did not hear a noise from either inside or outside the hotel when the door was closed. The only complaint as such would be disappointed that the TV had no digital channels and what there was, was very poor reception.
The service was brillant and the staff were friendly and polite. I really enjoyed my stay and would go back again.
