Stanley Hotel Athens

Even though the best places to see and eat aren't necessarily within walking distance, the metro station is right out in front of the building making it very easy to get around. It is more of a convention hotel, but does have accessible balconies and a decent view from the roof. The rooftop pool is very small, but the bar & restaurant on the roof are nice (expect hotel prices).

Good, clear, specious hotel. Fair price, poor breakfast. Near to city center but not good area.

Breakfast was nice but the room we had it in was smoking and non-smoking which was unpleasant. Hotel room was nice, shower was very, very small. Pool and view from restaurant, fabulous.

The bar/restaurant on the roof of the hotel building was most pleasant for a snack or a light meal in the summer evening with the view of Acropolis.

Good service and nice rooftop bar with view across to Acropolis. Located in a very average area though, although this is a bit negated by it being on top of a metro station. Rooms feel like a worn down 3 star rather than 4 so you'd want to get a good price on this one.

A nice hotel, with roof-top view of The Acropolis, situated close to a Metro station and about 40 minutes walking distance of the Plaka district and the National Archeological Museum, if you feel energetic. A good buffet breakfast is available until 10.30 most mornings. The roof-top bar also has snacks available throughout most of the day, although these were quite pricey. Strangely, for us anyway, in the rooms we were allocated the "double" room had twin beds pushed together and the "single" room had a small double bed.

The air conditioning is cold, the food is good (in the restaurants) and the room was clean.

This hotel is perfect for the traveller passing through Athens on their way to the Greek Islands. It is located just steps from the metro and offers clean, comfortable respite prior to continuing a journey. My wife and I would definitely stay again.

Perfect location, cannot be closer to the subway and no noise. Wonderful view of Parthenon from the top where you can have a drink or dinner. Highly recommended.

We missed a refridge at the room, for cold soft drinks and water, and icemachine at the floor. With 30/32 degree temp. celsius you need water all the time.

Excellent location in that the Metro is beside the hotel. View of the Acropolis from the rooftop restaurant is a must. All staff extremely helpful.

The desk clerks were very helpful and friendly. The location next to the metro stop was perfect. I would stay there again.

Hotel located beside metro station - that was great. Rooms are very noisy on the main road side (south) but enough quiet on the northern side. General athmosphere was good and service in reception was very kindly. The most negative was that sometimes walls was like made of paper! You could hear quite easily voices from other rooms.

Music on the roof till 1.30am on a Saturday night can be very distressing for tourists who spend a day roaming around the city and very tired. Reception however did take immediate action on request which is appreciated.

Stanley Hotel Athens is a good choice ian all aspects: we felt we had made a very good deal through your site, with 83 Euros for a twin room. The bathroom was perfect, the beds were long enough for me (and I am 203 cms tall!), and it had all the amenities we could wish for.
