Excellent located hotel very close to Victoria station. Very clean hotel, good size rooms and sufficient breakfast. All in excellent price. Highly recommended.
The hotel is in a good location and they have a friendly staff, however you should check their mattress because I was eaten alive by bedbugs! I wan in room number 10 and only after I returned home the itches started. Very bad! I'dlike to tell them about the problem, but I can't find their contact info.
Nice hotel for staying a couple of nights. Location is very good.
Great hotel, just about 15 minutes walking from Big Ben and London eye. Breakfast was great too, especially for that price.
We were located in the basement. Room was tidy, but clean. We only slept there two nights, did not spend any time there. It was good for this. Toilet was very clean. It seems that the hotel star level 2 or 3 stars is very very basic in London. The location was great and breakfast ok. I can recommend this for people who appreciate own toilet and shower and who are not that picky. We got a good deal through [this website] and this place was one of the rare places that had got good comments in Tripadvisor. Did not see any bedbugs or similar around.
a) The staircases are rather narrow and steep for those carrying suitcases; and b) Internal renovation work has been continued during renting period.
Staff were friendly and treated us very well; lovely clean towels, tidy rooms, nice breakfast and smiles. Location, location, location! Great spot. Good sized room with squeaky clean bathroom. Heaters couldn't be regulated so room was always hot. Beds a little hard. Busy road outside our window with non stop buses, HOWEVER, transport was always close at hand! We'd stay again.
No tea or coffee in room. No smoking allowed also which is bad. Found night porter asleep on a sofabed all tucked up at 05.30. Television only had 3 channels working. Location though is excellent.
very friendly, good price, clean and a great location to explore London and all its sites
Large clean room albeit in the basement. However for the price and location it was good. Full english breakfast a pleasant surprise.
Room located at the basement of the building, a littler bit noisy. We could hear the steps on the floor during the night and early morning. Restaurant staff very very kind and helpful!
Everything is very old! The carpet the bedding , the shower, the furniture is old. One morning their supplies for breakfast was not delivered - so ; no breakfast that morning. (breakfast included in room price). Breakfast room small and you have to share a table with anybody. Location is very good.
You get what you pay for. It was warm, clean and did the job. It wasn't a flash place but felt secure and was comfortable enough for the price in the centre of London
Warm comfortable and convenient to Victoria Station. Staff obliging. Basic breakfast but adequate.Would stay there again.
Excellent location, a close walk to the theatre district, Buckingham Palace, Victoria station, Westminster, Big Ben etc. There was free wireless internet in the room. There was also a cooked breakfast in the price, though the standard of the meal was pretty average (like a lot of food in the UK!) A good, comfortable room, well priced, in a very convenient location.
My first time in London ??? Where can I stay ??? I dont want to spend a lot of money with hotels...im going to enjoy the city...So, was a perfect choice. Stanley is 6 minutes walking from Victoria Station...there you have all facilities, including underground, mall, restaurant, big bus....its also close all the tourist places...I spent 60 dolars per night in an en-suite room...Of course the rooms are very simple, small and look like old, but the location is incredible...For me was a perfect choice.
staff very friendly. small room. very small towels. very small shower. quite clean, room put in order every day, but bedding wasn't changed the whole visit (7 nights).luggage deposit after check out possible, in the tiny loby, but the hotel is not responsible for it. english breakfast generous and not too bad as english breakfasts go. excelent location. all together - for people who come for a visit consisting of spending most of the time wandering about, and don't mind roughing it a bit as far as the hotel goes, it is a good place, maybe a bit over priced.
A basic hotel, but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay as long as you're not expecting the Ritz. Breakfast was good and the staff were very pleasant. Great location.
Friendly and helpful staff. Room was ok. Bathroom tiny with cabinet above the tiny sink which made it practically impossible to use! Good breakfast but dining room small and I had to share a table everyday. Good breakfast though! Excellent location and good value. I would stay there again. Lynne, Egypt
Reasonable price for a place to sleep in central London. Many of the places of interest are within a walking distance. The breakfast was good, the receptionists were nice and with a sense of humor. For this price I'd say that the conditions were good.
