Privately owned and operated, Stonecross Manor Hotel is conveniently situated on the edge of the old Market Town of Kendal. The Hotel was originally an orphanage, bequeathed to Kendal in 1857. All Guest Rooms are comfortable appointed with traditional decor in keeping with the building. Each room has an en suite with bath & shower.Catherine's Restaurant is named after Catherine Parr, the sixth wife of Henry VIII who spent the early part of her life in Kendal Castle. Open for breakfast, lunch & dinner, and offers the very best of local cuisine. Stonecross Manor Hotel is the ideal base from which to visit the Lake District National Park.

Getting there:

Travelling to Kendal from the North or South, on the M6 take exit 36, onto the A590, signposted to South Lakes and Kendal. Continue on the A591 to Windermere and Kendal. Carry on along the dual carriageway A591 - A6 South Kendal. You will pass a BP Petrol Station on the left, take the next left, signposted South Kendal A6. Follow this road and as you pass the 30 mph sign Stonecross Manor Hotel is set back on the left hand side.

Guests are invited to check-in after 2pm on the day of arrival.

Car parking:

The hotel car park is situated at the rear of the building but you may wish to unload your luggage at the front door.
