The STUDIOS HOTEL is reachable from the center of Milan through the East Highway (Tangenziale Est) exit Cologno Monzese-Sud or from the center of the city through Via Palmanova.

Getting there:From Linate airport: Linate is just 7km from the city centre. It is just 10minute by taxi or ordinary atm transport buses which run every ten munites from 5.30 am untill midnight between linate and piazza san babila; follw by metro 1 (red) till loreto (metro 2 green) and then follow till cologno sud. Follw tower mediaset direction which are well seen from the metro stop. From Malpensa airport: Malpensa, 50km northeast of the city, is the main airport of milano, connected by direct bus with the stazione centrale.follow with the metro 2(green) till cologno sud. Follow mediaset tower visible from the metro stop. From the highway: *turin/genoa/bologna, just follow indication for linate airport then direction for cologno monzese sud, at crossroad follow v.le europa (mediaset offices). *venice: follow tangenziale est,exit cologno monzese sud. From Stazione Centrale: follow with the metro 2(green) till cologno sud. Follow mediaset tower visible from the metro stop.

The hotel is not visible from the metro station as claimed (claimed to be visible due to proximity of the TV tower nearby) and it took some 15 minutes more than necessary to find it. With such a distance hgotel should offer a simple map for new visitors. It is a long way from the centre, and on a Sunday morning we had to wait 25 minutes for a metro train to arrive. Only one restaurant in the area - a pizza parlour, but actually quite good food. No additional pillow for beds. No bedside light for one of the two beds, and design of room rather cramped. With low energy bulbs everywhere found it difficult to prepare some work for the following day. Staff were helpful and breakfast good. Architecture interesting.
Hotel was nice, front desk and bar personel were very friendly. Breakfast was poor, canned fruit juice served in plastic cups ....
We enjoyed our stay here. The film star theme is fun. The location suited us as we were visiting Monza Race Circuit. Although it is a little out of town and late night food for teenagers proved difficult to find. We kept getting lost and the staff weren't too helpful. Will be investing in a satelite navigation system next time and a good phrase book.
