Sudima Hotel Christchurch Airport

The best feature is that it is 4 minutes from airport with 24 hour free shuttle service to airport on demand. Excellent for catching early morning flights. The beds are extremely soft and not conducive to a good night's sleep. Carpets, while clean, need an upgrade through-out the hotel. Good restaurant service.

I have stayed at this hotel many times, but as with most hotels now in Christchurch, the prices have sky rocketed since the earthquake. This is grossly unfair to regular travellers as the service provided is exactly the same.

Very friendly staff. Shuttle driver was especially helpful in orienting us to Christchurch and what might be available for the few hours we had on the only day we were there.

Ideal location for anyone using Christchurch International Airport. Not ostentatious but more than adequate for a stopover and reasonably priced for the facilities and service available

This is a wonderful location for anyone travelling to Christchurch airport. The (free) suhttlevan wasn't available when I was ready to leave, so I walked to the airport, and that took maybe 5minutes. That was good. The room I was put in this time was pretty tired and very dark, not as nice as the ones I have stayed in previously (I was in a different wing than I have been in before). I was also a bit troubled to find many long black hairs across the bathroom (I have very short brown hair). So.... I do wonder about cleanliness. I'll probably stay again because of the location!

We had an early flight out of NZ and then a late arrival back into the country. 24 hour shuttle service, front desk service and food availability meant we were catered for very well even when we were very tired and hungry. Rooms basic but this is the sort of place you stay when needing somewhere to stop on the way to somewhere else. Had a breakfast (nice range of choices and an excellent buffet). Dinner had lot choices, tasty and well presented. Staff very helpful.

Expected to pay a lot more for a hotel within airport, but this was fine. Only 2 minutes to Interantional terminal. Wake up call at scheduled time & free Shuttle. Restaurant excellent with buffet or a la carte options. Polite & helpful staff. would stay here again when early flight departure required.

Great location, you can _walk_ to the airport if you want (or use the free shuttle). Room was OK, a bit dark, and my room had one of the older bathrooms and slightly thin walls. I stay here regularly when-ever I need to be close to Christchurch airport.

The best thing about this hotel is the location and the provision of a shuttle bus to and from the airport. Nice restaurant and good, basic facilities. Unfortunately the walls are very thin. We could hear most of what was going on in the room next door which was frustrating, as we wanted to get to sleep because we had a very early flight the next morning!

We were on a very early morning flight out of Christchurch Airport so the location of the Sudima Hotel was excellent. The staff were polite and obliging, the shuttle service to the aiport was very good. We would stay at this hotel again and recommend it to anyone using Christchurch airport.

Great location for early morning flight departures. Hotel Airport shuttle made it all so easy. The lounge area and garden great spots to relax and had a wonderful meal in the hotel restaurant. Excellent value for money.

Good hotel, as far as airport hotels go, though counter staff a touch dismissive... Seen too many one-nighters I suspect, and the edge of service has been rubbed off. Location for a very early morning flight could not be better though.

Good for brief over night airport stopover as we did. Courtesy bus convenient for very short trip to airport terminal. No complaints.

I chose the Sudima for its location - right beside the airport, with a 24 hour shuttle to the airport. However, it proved to be a very pleasant place to stay - attentive staff, good facilities, reasonable price, aircraft noise not noticeable in my room, and a good restaurant (excellent meals, and gluten-free and vegetarian options clearly marked on the menu).

First time here and was very impressed, location great especially as we had an early connection flight the next day, rooms clean and comfortable, staff very helpful

I first stayed at this hotel 7 years ago and at the time was impressed with the price and location (literally just across the road from the airport's international terminal). However, the hotel is exactly as it was way back then and is now looking more than a little tired. Still a great location if you need to be near the airport but not such good value if the airport isn't so important. Note: I have to mention that we always find the staff friendly and helpful.

Service and staff were very courteous and efficient, went out of their way to oblige. Did find the buffet meal a little bit lacking in choices with minimum dishes. The cleanliness of the bathroom was a little bit sub-standard. There was no teatowel to dry dishes, also the coffee wasn't very good quality.
