Wonderful location, excellent service, highly recommended. Would stay again without hesitation.
Main hotel really nice, clean and welcoming. Hotel room very basic - like walking back into the 1970's, shabby bathroom with ill fitting fixtures and worn out cupboard. Requested a double room, single beds just pushed together.
We have just returned from spending 5 nights at the Suncliffe. This is a lovely hotel in a superb position facing the sea. We were given a refurbished room which was beautiful, and although not classed as a 'sea view' room, we were pleasantly surprised to see as far a Boscombe Pier from the window. Our room and the communal areas of the hotel are spotlessly clean, although the pool area could do with updating. The Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food was good, plenty of choice for breakfast. This is the 2nd time we have visited this hotel and would always try to book it again if we return to Bournemouth. Excellent value for money!
A really nice hotel that we intend to visit whenever we are in Bournemouth. We had our wedding guests staying here and they were generally very impressed.
We thought it was a shame that the restaurant is downstairs so that you get no hint of a sea view. It seemed very dark. A shame when there is the lovely glass fronted part of the hotel overlooking the sea which would make a perfect restaurant.
The hotel is situated just a 10min walk down to the pier and a little longer to get back due to walking up the hill. We stayed for a short break 3 nights and for this the hotel was ideal. the hotel rooms are a little dated but are clean and functional.
Room was tiny. Staff friendly but not very helpfull. Way too expensive.
we enjoied our stay, but there was just a few little things that werent quite right the bathroom door didnt shut and the room just needed a bit of modenisation. also the pools ceiling needed some attendense.
We had a seafront room with balcony which was outstanding.
The hotel rooms are very dated to say the least but they are clean. The communal areas are nice though. You can use the facilities of the nearby sister hotels which are very nice, especially the pool at the cumberland. Only had breakfast at the Suncliff which was very nice. The hotel was clean, staff polite and helpful, plenty of parking and a great location. Only the room decor (and heat!!) let it down.
None of the gym equipment seemed to work. Hotel old fashioned, but clean and in great location. OK to stay at short notice.
We have just spent the weekend at the Suncliff. I was truly amazed at what was on offer for the price we paid. Our room was light and airy and was very clean and well decorated. The hotel was well positioned on the Sea Front, and the food and the facilities were really good. The staff were very polite and helpful. I would definately stay there again.
good service and cleanliness.the breakfast was lovely! the only down point would be the decor which desperatly needs updating!! very retro is how i'll describe it!! overall tho a good place to say for the price and friendly service would recomend if on a budget.
Booked a cheap room which was better than expected, staff were very polite and helpful, breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of options. would definitely use again.
I arrived mid afernoonand found the hotel busy but this did not stop the hotel staff being pleasant and helpful. The food was very good considering how busy it was and the service was exceptional. A very pleasant experience that I wil repeat.
Great hotel at a good price. Service good and staff helpful.
A traditional hotel with all the modern perks. Eenjoyed th swimming pool and jacuzzi each day!!
At the time of visit, August 2003, mixed guests - old and young. helpful friendly welcoming and effecient staff. Provided a lovely clean modern travel cot for out 11 month old daughter/ generous breakfast. Sports and leisure facilities seemed un used but the weather and beach were fantastic so indoors was probably not high on everyones list that day! Reasonable price - greatly reduced than public pricing.
