Sunroute Hotel Hiroshima

An excellent location and would recommend to any traveller

Japan has to get with the real world and ban SMOKING in Hotel rooms!! The Sunroute Hiroshima is a nice hotel , with great staff, and a great friendly attitude to foreign visitors. We have one complaint.. that there are no NON SMOKING ROOMS! There is always the pervasive smell of cigarette smoke in the rooms and in the halls. The beds are really comfortable, bathrooms are spotless, bath products are supplied, the rooms are clean to the eye, but it is the smell that brings it down. My rating of average for cleanliness is only because of the smoke. The views over the Hiroshima Peace park are exceptional, and the room I think was larger than the Sunroute in Asakusa.

We were content of all services in this hotel. TV selection too limited.

Great location. Room was very good except if you don't smoke I suggest you ask for a non-smoking room as ours had a lingering smell of smoke. The meals were good. Great view from the dining room. Would stay again.

superb location overlooking the Peace Park (though unfortunately our room faced the other way, but you get the view from the restaurant at breakfast in any case) and just a 10 min walk from shopping and bar area - good kaiseki oyster/fish restaurant just outside by the river. Quite good value for money. Friendly, efficient staff. Rooms not so small (by Japanese standards). Very nice breakfast buffet worth the extra price (nice range of Japanese options available, and in proper dishes too!) Would stay there again when in Hiroshima.

Sunroute is an excellent location for the Peace Park and an easy walk to the covered shopping area at Hondori. Trams stop nearby also. Friendly bar, Kemby's 5 mins walk away. Staff very friendly and always helpful. Is a typical Japanese business hotel with no frills but for a bed for the night it is good value and the location is superb

2 minute walk to peace park. very nice bright room.above average size. easy walk to main shopping shops and markets.

Hotel is more centrally located than is apparent from the photo or the posting on the site. It is ideal for access to the Peace Park, river tours and lots of good restaurants and shopping nearby.

Very good location and fantastic view from window! Highly recommended!

Well situated at the bottom of the Peace Park.I had a view of the Atom Bomb Dome from my window.

Excellent hotel, no complaints, very helpful staff and near the sight- seeing places. The hotel looks and feels new. Overall, very impressed. It is probably easiest to take a taxi from the train station, about 1200 yen.

The hotel is in a great position near tourist sites and easy walk to 2 different streetcar stops, for different lines. Room had views of the river and A bomb site. Bathroom cubicle size but room surprising large by Japanese standards.

There are lots of stains on the carpeting and bedspreads, which does not look good, although the hotel was generally clean. When we asked for information at the front desk about bicycle rental, we were told that people don't ride in Hiroshima and that only the train station rents bicycles. This is not true -- we found bicycles for rent at J-stoppers, a youth hostel not far away. You should include this information and not lie to customers. The breakfast was very good and in general our stay was fine. Thank you Duane Chartier

Perfect location next to the Peace Memorial Park, rooms are small but practical, nice bar and Starbucks on the opposite side of the street is great for breakfast :-)

Easy to find hotel, which is not always easy in Japan! The buffet breakfast was lovely, with a fantastic view over the river and city.

This hotel was wonderful! It was located in a very convenient location, walking distance to the Peace Park Memorial Museum, A-Bomb Dome, and many shops and restaurants. At Hiroshima Station, go to the Information Center where they will give you helpful maps and directions to Sunroute.

An excellent well priced hotel with good top floor restaurant

Ideal location next to Peace Park. Good walks along river to castle and not far from station ( Shinkansen ) Overall good value for money
