Sunset Bungalows Resort Port Vila Exclusive Adults Only

Fantastic Resort. Clean rooms with beautiful views. The staff in the resort was very-very helpful, they made our holiday more enjoyable. Great place for a honeymoon, highly recommended!

Location, location, location! A wonderful setting with the deck of the bungalows over the lagoon and reasonably easy access to swim in the lagoon. Loved the bi-fold doors that opened the room to the deck! Bungalows are simple but furnished well in a local style. Four poster bed is very comfortable, kitchenette basic but OK. Staff are very friendly and helpful. However we would suggest that management needs to take a few steps to generally smarten the place up and not rely on the staff to fix things. In particular - ensure hot water is reliable, get rid of threadbare towels and sheets with holes (not all, but some), put a decent reading light in rooms and definitely a brighter light in bathrooms, freshen up outdoor cushions and pool surrounds. Restaurant food is simple, tasty, but overpriced.

I loved the fact that the bungalows opened onto the second lagoon. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful. I also loved the food. Most things were made from scratch, using local ingredients. Local fish, local organic beef (which is brilliant), even home-made chutney using local bananas. And a menu that varies depending on what is fresh in the markets. We ate in every night.

Everyone was very friendly despite the contant rain. Food was excellent. Staff couldn't do enough for us with the owner 'volunteering ' to get up at 5am to take us to the airport if our transport didin't arrive ( luckily it did!) The accomadation was beyond expectations with the Lagoon View room much, much larger than expected. The farewell 'reserved table' for breakfast with a handwritten note from Annie surrounded by a garland of flowers was totally unexpected but a fabulous gesture. We would definately stay here again on our next trip to Port Villa

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and always accommodating. Food was expensive and became repetitive after 8 days

I travelled for business and pleassure and had a great three nights at the sunset...best massage ever - highly recommended. the view from the room was a million dollars and the service was outstanding.

Very nice bungalows, beside the water. Very friendly people with fatastic services. 5-8Mins from the town centre and 15 mins from the international airports. Nice food as well.

Staff and management were very helful and down to earth. Bungalows on the water were fantastic- especially the sound of the waves lapping on the rocks. Restaurant food was delicious. Found the out of town location peaceful and other guests were unobtrusive. Got a good deal on the price of the room which was great. Only stayed 2 nights but could have easily stayed longer.

We spent a week at Sunset Bungalows and loved every minute of it. We could lean over our terrace and feed the fish, from the beautiful bungalows which were situated over the lagoon. The resort has lovely, laid back Australian Managers, and they are blessed with the friendliest staff ever. The food was absolutely wonderful. Of the week we were there, we only ate elsewhere once ! Although it was situated a little bit out of town, buses run frequently to and from and take no more than 5 minutes either way. The fact that it was for over 18's only was also a bonus and was one of the reasons we decided to stay initially. We would definitely stay again should we return to Port Vila and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone considering the place
