Was very small but cosy. short walk down the street to Apgujeong station. Hotel was clean, bed was comfortable. I stayed a total of 23 nights while looking for a place to live in Seoul. I found out after I booked, the hotel has a reputation as being somewhat of a love hotel, as the BOSS club is next door. Although I didnt see anything of that nature happening when I was there. I can recommend this hotel if you want something fresh and not paying $300,000 won p/n at a place like the Westin. I paid under $100,000 won p/n which was excellent value.
I had zero expectations for Sunshine Hotel in Seoul, but was very impressed and surprised when I checked in. The staff was courteous and spoke English well. They accompanied me to my room and explained to me how the lighting system & AC controls worked. The room had great, uninterrupted Internet LAN access and a nice flat screen TV. The cleaning was great, the bed and pillows comfortable and clean. The room was recently re-modeled, I think and located on the 3rd Floor. Sunshine Hotel is located near the Apgujeong Subway Station (압구정역). From the station, take Exit 3 and just walk straight for about 7-8 minutes. It's on your left. There's a 24-hour MiniStop across the street. From Incheon Airport, you can take the Limo bus. Take #6010 Cheongdam to Apgujeong. Price in Oct 2010 was 15,000KW.
I felt comfortable in the room, just a bit warmer and nicer feel and furniture than in most hotels. Also liked the glass wall between bathroom and bedroom which can be closed off with blinds. Very nice people at reception and concierge.
Mixed views on the hotel. Upon reaching the hotel, we discovered that the aircon system wasnt working due to renovations. They tried to appease us by giving us a double bed room (instead of two singles). pleased that they were accomodating but peeved that they hadnt informed us earlier Rooms are tidy and comfortable. However, first two nights, we felt as if the bed had bed bugs. But that stopped completely on the third to the 5th night as we both could sleep comfortably. facilities wise, internet connection is good and fast, location is in a good area although i've stayed in a hotel with lesser walking distance to the train station. But i would still say its a good location nevertheless. Pricing is very reasonable if thats what they still offer once the renos are complete. Best part is the service as the conceirge and managers were helpful and fast response. They dont speak english very well, but they sure try their best that they can in meeting your needs.
Location is alright not the best, is around 10minute walk to apujeong.
The staffs were helpful and friendly.
Nice hotel with pleasants staff, great location with easy subway access with clean rooms and great facilities.
Nice enough hotel, good enough location, good enough price. Service excellent.
Not far from subway station, Convenient shops and restaurant
The room I had was really pleasant. Ace shower! The hotel is reasonably located being a few minutes walk from Sinsa metro station. The area is quite nice-certainly a massive improvement over Itaewon. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience shops. It is couple of metro stops away from the Express Bus terminal so it is very convenient for early departures out of there. I stayed for 2 nights and wasn't disappointed.
