Hotel Surban is located just 500 meters from the village centre in the old part of Urgup. It is overlooked by many ancient cave dwellings carved out of the cliff face, creating a unique and magical ambiance. This friendly hotel is a great base for exploring the country of the Fairy Chimneys, one of the world's most unique regions. Amenities include a rooftop terrace with views of the cave dwellings and the beautiful surrounding countryside, a lounge bar, TV room (we have satellite channels), free access to internet, Wifi, meeting room and private parking. Buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on the terrace, in the garden or in the cave-style dining room and vegetarian and children's menus are available. Activities include party games, darts, table tennis, a weekly musical evening and use of a swimming pool (with participation) situated 100 meters from the hotel. What a great hotel, the owner was very friendly and met all of his guests. He was often in the lobby and invited us for tea. Nice fireplace and sitting room, good breakfast buffet and the lowest price I found in the area.
Lovely hotel situated in the best area of Cappodocia to stay in (Urgup). Very good breakfast, staff friendly and helpful. We have already recommended the hotel to 8 friends planning to visit Cappodocia next September.
Good hotel, reasonable price
Very good! Definitely, check with the hotel for an airport shuttle BEFORE you arrive to ensure this happens! It's not always free, but they worked with me. They were very helpful! Great restaurant closeby and the city centrum is about a 10-15 minute walk, which might not be great for some who want to be in the middle of everything. But I preferred to be away from the "touristy" area and was able to mix with locals easily.
Hotel Surban is proffesional and very friendly. We stayed for 7 nights and can recommend this hotel for turists and travellers staying to see Cappadocia. This is a perfect starting point and the staff gives perfect advises and the breakfast is super.

The building of the hotel is very nice, made from stone. The hotel is located in Urgup, which is close to the most frequently visited places in Cappadocia. However, having the address only, it wasn't easy to find it. Wireless internet is only available at the lobby area.
Hotel Surban is located in a very convenient place.Nice authentic hotel.It has a very nice terrace for summer season. The main restaurant is underground. Rooms are not so big.
