Swansea Beach Chalets has several Chalet styles with stunning views from the property of the Freycinet Peninsula over Great Oyster Bay and a private beach. Spa Chalets have private balconies above the beachfrontage with a queen bed in the main bedroom and singles in the other. New studio chalets have open plan but separate living space opening onto balconies with spectular coastal views. The Chalets offer great protection from the coastal elements whilst providing all the comforts of home. All chalets/studio are self contained with linen supplied. The sandy beach is perfect for swimming and water sports, or take the five minute walk into the centre of Swansea village to explore its rich heritage. If you are feeling introspective, take a walk along deserted Nine Mile Beach and breathe in the restorative sea air. Swansea is rapidly gaining a reputation for its eclectic charm and hospitality and is a perfect spot from which to explore the east coast, with the towns of Bicheno, Coles Bay and Orford, and the breathtaking beauty of our coastal national parks all a short drive away. A fantastic location for a quick break from the humdrum, less than 2 hours drive from either Hobart or Launceston.

Getting there:We are located in Shaw Street at the northern end of Swansea. Swansea is around 2 hours leisurely drive from either Hobart or Launceston along the Tasman Highway.

Car parking:Each Chalet has a dedicated parking space for one vehicle.
Child Policy:Children under 3 stay free. Child rates apply where applicable for children aged between 4 to 14 inclusive.
The absolute waterfront view from our chalet was amazing & captivating. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Allocated parking bay. Just the little things that were missing like a box of tissues, an extra toilet roll, a frying pan & a sponge for washing the dishes. Perhaps that explains the less than clean utensils & dishes. Still, a great spot, esp for a small family

After having read mixed reviews regarding the Swansea Beach Chalet on the internet we were hesitant with regards to booking a night here. Glad we did, the location and the facilities were excellent, beds very comfortable, no problems with heating everything worked and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again, Swansea is a perfect location as it is half way from Launceston and Hobart.
Wonderful views of Freycinet NP from balcony. Walking distance to pub and 10 mins walk to town. Staff very helpful and would certainly stay again
