Swiss-Belhotel Golden Sand Resort & Spa Hoi An

Nice hotel however, it's 5 kms from the town. they do have a shuttle bus which will take you to town but this leaves every 2 hours. One of the restruants where closed and the "fun pub' didn't open some days. Great Pool and right on the beach if you just want to laze about and do nothing this is the place to be.

An excellent retreat for lazing by pool and beach, in a beautiful setting. Convenient to Hoi An too, if you need an endless supply of t-shirts and other similar 'cultural' items that infest that otherwise beautiful town.

High standard amenities, service. 150m pool excellent.

What a great find! the beach is excellent and the Hotel first class. A free shuttle into town allows you to get all your clothes made, and also visit some great restaurants. Water sports equipment is well maintained and the 150metre pool is fantastic. This place is a must!

A fantastic resort hotel right on the beach. It has a magnificent swimming pool and is only a few minutes by taxi from the heart of town. It's worth the extra dollars to spoil yourself.

Wonderful Resort with a very friendly stuff. Prices for rooms were (due to internet) great but to eat in the hotel was expensive. But Hoi An has very nice cheap restaurants so it shoudn't be a problem. I would defently come again if I get the chance!

Our room smelled damp and our bed pillows smelled awful, we had to ask them to change them twice. Service was good, spa treatments were very nice too!

Staff were great - couldn't do enough for us. It was raining when we were there and pillows smelled damp but they were promptly changed on request. Beds were comfortable and pool was the best I have ever seen. Had a wonderful Ayurvedic massage, and checked on emails in the computer room. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Laundry was a bit expensive. We had a great time....would recommend to anyone.

Nice hotel, definitely not five star - but comfortable, great pool, average breakfast. The beach is nothing special - but service is good. Food is overpriced at the hotel - recommend eating all food in Hoi An. Motorbike taxis are a fun way to get into town (takes approximately 10-15 minutes) - pay only 25 000 dong one way. Hotel offers a free shuttle bus service into town each hour which is great. A family/couples resort.

The hotel itself was really nice. you can't beat the 150m long pool. The room was really clean and nice. We had a balcony and everything. I wouldn't recommend to use room service or any other hotel service. The prices are atleas three times as much from those outside the hotel. You will pay for two hamburgers the same price which you would pay for a room in the city of Hoi An. Don't book any tours through the hotel. They will charge you three times as much for those. We went to see the My Son Cham towers and paid $4 in the city center. Golden Sand wanted $35 for it, even though it would have been a private car. Didn't include entrance fee... Great beach and lots of activities, but bit expensive when you consider rest of Vietnam.

Really nice hotel and we got it for an absolute bargain price of 65 euro. The room was clean with all the facilities you'd expect from a nice hotel. The pool was amazing - 150 metres long and overlooking the beach. Class! Breakfast was buffet style with loads of tasty food to choose from. There is a pool table (free) and a tennis court to entertain people (not free) and a gym and salon as well. All in all one of the best bargains in SE Asia. If you're coming on the Open ticket bus though beware of guys on motorbikes who'll rip you off when bringing you to your hotel. The main problem is that because its a 5 star, everyone else in Hoi An will try to get as much moeny out of you as possible

Wonderfull hotel in a wonderfull place !!!

This hotel was`absolutely stunning. Rooms were really big and spacious. Amazing pool and really secluded part of the beach exclusively for hotel guests. Can not fault it and would definately recommend it to friends and family.

We were very disappointed with this hotel, which definitely doesn't deserve its 5 stars. The lobby area is very nice but all the other areas are starting to look very tired and a little shabby as do the rooms. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable - no better than a plank of wood. The quality of the food on the breakfast buffet was very poor. It's only redeeming feature is the amazing and very large pool right next to the beach.

The hotel is not up to 5 star standard yet, since the walls of the rooms are partly mouldy and the rooms are damp. Furthermore it is very noisy if you not happen to have a beach front room. The hotel might be nice to stay at during sunny days, but if it is raining activities are very limited and there are no such facilities as reading room or spa yet.

We stayed at Swiss-Belhotel 2 days and wish we could stay more. Hotel is nice and new with a huge swimming pool. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Even if the hotel is 5 km away from Hoi An centre, there is a free shuttle bus which was pleasant!

We had a superb time here, the staff were lovely to us and the hotel had the biggest pool we have ever seen, right on the beach!

A great hotel for a beach resort vacation in Vietnam! We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing ambience and tranquility of the place. The swimming pool was so long we couldn't see the other end and is filtered sea water which is great if you don't want to attempt the choppy sea. Hoi An is a better place to stay than Da Nang if you want scenery and heritage.
