Location of hotel is within a short walk to the shopping area. There is no cafe in this hotel and it does not provide breakfast. Found a cafe right at the end of the building. There is a free internet access at lobby for guests. We stayed in the new renovated rooms. Room is clean, bed is very comfortable and it has a LCD TV. We enjoyed our stay and good for the price we pay.

Great value for money-within walking distance of central city amenities
Very basic room, no luxuries. Fair price for location.
We stayed at the Sydney Central Hotel as we needed accomodation at short notice and there wasn't much available. It is a budget hotel and quite adequate for our purposes but probably wouldn't recommend it for a holiday stay.
location was great, price was good, but very small room and only a double bed! my partner is 6'1" - not a good fit!! and the mattress was shocking - you could feel the springs whenever you moved!! we covered the mattress with the blanket & bedspread doubled over to cushion it the second night which helped. It was a very hot night so we only needed the sheet over us thank goodness!! But the A/C unit was new & worked well.
I was travelling alone and was dubious about staying at the hotel, however the budget room I had on the second floor was basic but adequately good, a little stuffy so I left the window open throughout the night and still felt safe. The staff were friendly and helpful, the shared bathroom was clean and the kitchen although a little smaller than I imagined was very well equipped. the hotel was nice and quiet and I would certainly consider staying there next time if I was again budget conscious.
I was travelling alone and had trepidations about staying here, however the hotel was fairly quiet and I felt quite safe. I comfortably walked to and from the city centre every day. I found the hotel staff friendly and helpful. the kitchen area wasnt very big but sufficient and it does have whatever you would need to cook your own meals from stoves/oven, microwaves and cooking utensils, bathroom facilities were clean. if you're on a budget then I would recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again.
The building was little bit old so when other gustes walk hallway I could hear squeaky sound but It didn't really matter to me. After sightseeing in Sydney I fell a sleep so quickly. There is a free bus just outside of hotel. That was so handy!!!!!
The Hotel is in a perfect position for all public transport. Reception was good and very helpful with directions etc. Pricing was fantastic and our rooms were very clean and met our expectations.
Stayed 5 nights (Wed-Sun) in the recently renovated rooms with private facilities on 3rd floor. Surprisingly quiet, given volume of traffic. Room was clean when I arrived, but not cleaned well thereafter - eg. spilled coffee on bench remained thru out my stay, nor was toilet ever cleaned unless I did it. Facilities minimal, but expected for price. Secure & location excellent for my purposes.
Very clean, I like its cleaniness as well as the management and service, but quite old buildings... no bathroom for each room. Still not bad.
Cheap, clean and the service was good. Great budget accommodation and very central to everything. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed for 6 nights. The ensuite room we stayed in was newly renovated and was very happy with the cleanliness of the room in general. However, although it seemed the bedsheet was new, I noticed there were some hair on the sheet, which was obvious since the hair was dark colour whilst the sheets were white. Basic cleaning done on a daily basis, ie beds were done and rubbish was cleared. Complimentary shower bottles were not refilled and and we had to request our bedsheets to be changed on the 4th day. Great staff, and great location.
it was all good.
The hotel was a great place to stay it was clean and close to the main parts of sydney .i would stay there again .
The room (on the first floor) was heavily disturbed by traffic noise. It was impossible to shut tight the window, so we felt as if the traffic from the street crossing outside really came into the room. With good earplugs at night we got used to that by and by. The space for your belongings was absolutely minimal. The staff was nice. Free internet access on one computer was a very good thing. The hotel has a well equipped kitchen but a very dull dining room for guests who wish to do their own cooking. It is a bit strange, though, that there is a monitoring camera in the kitchen and some very frank posters telling you how to behave. The hotel is within comfortable walking distance from the railway station. We either walked or took the free bus downtown.
Good location, very basic but clean and everything works. Excellent value for a short time stay in Sydney.
my room was very noisy, traffic and train noise, room was clean but very pokie, showers did not have clothes hook and tiles were very slippery. The lift would have to be one of if not the slowest in the world. Reception staff could do with some happiness and how to smile lessons. Location is ideal close to central station and close to darling harbour & light rail stop, despite of all the negatives I would stay there again
room was very basic but clean the location was fantastic the price unbeatable and the staff fantastic
