Tai-Pan Hotel Bangkok

Hotel located within 10 mins walk to Asoke BTS Station and Sukhumkit Subway Station. Very convenient! Has a Top-rated Italian restaurant and a Top-rated Thai restaurant located opposite the hotel. The food is excellent and the price is very reasonable! There's also a good bakery cum cafe that serves excellent cakes next to the Thai restaurant. There are also Korean, Japanese and Chinese restaurants near the hotel. There's also a good massage place known as Health Land located within 10 mins walk from the hotel. Excellent choice if food and massage are what you look for during your stay.

Pleasant hotel with good staff , nice pool and gym. breakfast is fine. Good location. Not noisey and close to Sukumvit and Soi Cowboy. Plenty of entertainment in the area.

Excellent mid range hotel, with friendly and professional staff. The continental buffet breakfast was great. Excellent value for money hotel and close to sky-train (10-15 minute walk). On the sixth floor, there is located the Thai massage facilities, fantastic value and truly a relaxing experience. This is the second time we have stayed here and would stay again the next time we visit Bangkok.

Tai Pan is an excellent hotel, in a great location. My stay was unfortuneatly spoilt by unfriendly, rude staff on arrival. My Thai girlfriend was made to feel like a bar girl because she walked in with a western man. The staff were very abrupt. I didn't speak to the manager because I was too angry to be civil with him/her. My friend who also stayed there, felt they were rude too. Cannot fault the hotel itself, and the location. Overall I WOULD recommend the hotel, but suggest the staff go on a customer service course.

Great value hotel with very helpful staff and right in the centre of Bangkok. Would certainly use again if visiting Bangkok.

In the map, it shows that this hotel is very near to Sukhumvit road but the fact is that its more than 300 mtrs. Otherwise hotel is very good and the plus point is that the rooms are very big which we do not find now a days.

Very attentive, friendly staff. Very good dining. Walking distance to BTS and MRT rail.

noisy A/C

Athough we had stayed in this hotel on several occasions we were disappointed that the room that we had booked and had confirmed was not available. attitude of person behind counter was disappointing

The price of the hotel has a couple of times over the last couple of years - service and facilities have not increased. After saying that we usually stay here as the location is good as well as the atmosphere of the hotel.

Stayed at this hotel three nights over the New Year period. The Hotel is in easy access of The Asoke BTS/MRT for good public transport around the city. Food and service was good and shops and other eating options within easy access. Most annoying feature was access to the internet. No wireless. A modem is placed in your room and the access cost is expensive.Otherwise overall good the sundeck by pool could be more exotic and private.

I found the hotel to be in a very convienent location within walking distance to most attractions. the staff were very helpfull and attentive, the hotel was cleaned to a high standard and the room service was quick and efficent. Over all good value for money. The only down side is that a sister hotel is being built next to the Tai-Pan and this can be quite noisy at times. I would recommend this hotel to any first time visitors to Bankok.

Excellent and friendly staff that attended to all our requests promptly. The bellboy on our first night (arriving late) was exceptionally good and very helpful. The provided Breakfast was also exceptional. The hotel is a short (5-10min) walk to the MRT and Sky train, although other hotels are closer, they would surely suffer from congestion and noise - unlike the Tai-Pan! I would have no reservations about staying at the Tai-Pan hotel again when I'm next in Bangkok.

Great hotel for the price. Good location in Sukhimvit, as well.

A little tired around the edges, but certainly comfortable. Great breakfast, large rooms, helpful staff and convenient location to BTS and MRT more than make up for the aggressive uniformed timeshare marketing squads these guys have walking the streets of Bangkok and hitting you up in the elevators! Exceptionally helpful and friendly tour agent on-site too.

Clean, near from both Sukmvit and Astok subway station.
