Tanjung Sanctuary Hotel Langkawi

Just great. You won't be served umbrellad cocktails by staff in a white jacket when at the pool. If that's important to you, there are other resorts on the island. But if not, and beachside relaxation in a tropical setting is, then this comes highly recommended. The fact it's a wildlife sanctuary with dramatic-looking hornbills and monkeys all around is a fun bonus.

Restaurant service was poorer

Lovely stay at this small resort. Food average, but professional, hospitable manager made up for it.

I rated 'good' for location because it all depends where the traveller wants to be. If you want somewhere quiet and secluded then the rating is superb. The bungalows are huge and the tranqulity is wonderful.Good quiet beaches alongside the hotel. The restaurant leaves a lot to be desired if you want to have 'a night of it' (I don't talk about the food quality because we didn't eat at the hotel) and there is no bar. It's about a 20 min taxi ride (taxis very cheap) to the main centre of eating and entertainment. My first visit to Langkawi and I look forward to a re-visit sometime.

Its a Luxirious Place , where you can feel privacy more that anywhere else, you dont need to go out to see the Beautiful nature as you own home is just inside it. the rooms are very big, the beach is very nice, the whole place is so Private if you are honeymooners or whatever , its a great place to visit, the only point of weakness is ,itself, a point of streanght, its a little bit far from city center, but all langkawy is far from each other, and you need to hire a car there to be able to go every where (from 12 USD/Day) summery, its a great Pleace, and i wish i can go there again

The Tanjung Sanctuary is in a wonderful site, but the establishment needs a little of a freshener. The sliding doors are very heavy to use, the window shades did not close and the toilet in the unit I was in needed adjustment to correct the flushing, and the whole establishment looks "tired". Nevertheless, it has a wonderfull atmosphere, and I look forward to returning to enjoy another very relaxing stay.

It was a peaceful place and the location was excellent, the room was beautiful and the people around were friendly. Their breakfast buffet was not too bad and but the tea time could be extended to 5pm. The beachfront rooms was their main attraction and the private beach + the poolside near the beach was awesome. One could really have their privacy and i would definitly recommend the place to others, will go back next year.

Hotel is hidden in the lovely jungle and clean private beach. Monkeys greeted my heavenly beachfront bungalore on the first day. Very tranquil, peaceful place. Beautiful beach setting. Friendly staff. Please try to speak the language, they would love you more.Food prices are pricey though. Fantastic free afternoon tea and yummy breakfast.Bungalore was huge and feels very comfortable. Best time to go.I overlooked a few cleaniness issues as the view, comfort level and bathroom were fabulous.Would go back again.

Although Tanjung Sanctuary is small it is a fantastic place to stay. The Chalets are very spacious, we had one facing the beach and bay. They are alittle tired in it's decoration but still very good value for money. The staff are friendly and once understand what you want they do their best to help. Don't expect everyone to speak perfect English and if you learn alittle Malay this goes along way. Breakfast was good and the location is amazing. Wildlife a plenty. Nice touch was the afternoon tea on the veradana by the reception.
