Tara Towers Hotel Dublin Guest Reviews

3 out of 5

Good value for the price for a middle of the road hotel. Decent location in South Dublin with a bus stop right in front. Hotel staff was great! I had lots of questions and they had lots of answers. They helped plan outings and gave lots of helpful tips on tours etc.. They also arranged taxi's when needed, and let us check in before check-in time as our flight arrived early. There's also a pub/restaurant in the hotel with good breakfasts. Also, there's free parking. We kept our rental parked most of the time as the public transportation was easy to use. No complaints.

I have stayed a numbered of times this year in the Tara Towers. The premises is showing some signs of wear and tear. However, the location is excellent, good eateries near by, very close to UCD, RDS, Aviva Stadium. Free car parking. The hotel and rooms are clean, rooms are spacious and plenty of hot water. Complementary tea and coffee in the room. Service excellent. During my most recent stay, I checked in, to discover that the room was near roof-located air conditioning system, outside my window. As I'm a light sleeper, I asked the receptionist if it was possible to relocate my room. she did so immediately and was very pleasant about doing so. I shall definitely stay again.

We were very happy with our stay. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The hotel is very convenient for access to the city centre and south Dublin and is well served by both a bus stop just outside and the rail service in walking distance. The price was very good for what we got. The room was fine with a wonderful view out over Dublin Bay. However, it was very warm so we needed to keep the window open and there was constant traffic noise through the night. But apart from that we have no complaints.

Average 3 star hotel situated on the coast with good bus links to downtown Dublin and the airport. Normal Irish breakfast, but no fresh fruit, only canned grapefruit and oranges. Pleasant pub within the hotel. WiFi free of charge in the lobby. Very limited choice of TV programmes.

While the hotel is a bit out of town the bus service, which is directly outside the gate is good. Great bar food and the breakfast is served till 10.30am. The bar along with the staff were nice and friendly. The rooms could do with a bit of a revamp. Overall we would choose this hotel again.

The public transport is just outside the hotel and only a short trip to the centre. I would use this hotel again.

Overly efficient German girl greeted us with no pleasantries and a rather cold manner. Luckily rest of Ireland the opposite. Bathroom needed a good clean as under bath mat had dust & dirt from some time. Unsightly stains on bed valance. Room was freezing but after phone call was easily fixed. Dinner in bar was just adequate & that's all. Would stay there again as convenient and good price.

Spacious, clean room with comfortable beds. Bathroom could use some maintenance (sink faucet and shower head), but was clean. The hot buffet breakfast was very nice. Patton Flyer bus stops across from the hotel if you are arriving by air. We purchased 3-day Dublin Bus tickets from the front desk. Buses come by often, so it is convenient going to and from the city center by bus.

Good value accommodation with a comfortable and quiet room. The breakfast ok. The distance from the city center is a fifteen minute bus journey with a very frequent service.
