Hotel Tardif is the biggest private mansion ever built in Bayeux in the 18th century. After a royal secretary, a botanist of Versailles, a general of Napoleon, and other great characters, we are now very glad to live in this favoured environment and to share it with our guests! after a visit to the Bayeux Tapestry Museum, the cathedral ... and all the sightseeings that are just a minute walk away from here, you'll enjoy a rest on the terrace or a walk in our park, first botanical garden of Bayeux in the 19th century!

Getting there:to get us from the RN13 : exit #36. once Bayeux, just follow signs "centre ville". 200meters after the 2nd traffic circle, on the right side of the street you'll see a large green gate opening on to a park. here you are ! this is the car access : 57 rue Larcher. Pedestriand access by the honor courtyard : 16 rue de Nesmond between both Cathedral and Bayeus Tapestry Museum.

Charming guest house with lovely surrondings, great breakfast and spot on location. Host was very helpful and spoke excellent English
The Hotel was beautiful and suited the little town wonderfully, adding to the whole experience of being in bayeux. The English speaking staff member was a little on the unfriendly side however helpful none the less and did the two things i asked him to do promptly.
Hotel Tardif is not a traditional hotel. It is more typical of a bed and breakfast, with privacy. The rooms are large and beautiful, and the hotel is charming. Anthony, the manager, is pleasant, helpful, and not intrusive. The location is perfect. If you are looking for a more traditional hotel, with phone service between rooms, separate tables for morning breakfast, a front desk, manned with someone to greet you, and hand you a key, hotel Tardif will not meet your needs. Bayeux is charming, and the hotel is around the corner from the cathedral, and the charming streets and shops.
