Tash Konak Hotel Istanbul

Tash Konak is a small hotel; don't expect the same conditions as you would from Hilton Hotel for example. But the building itself is a historical one; there is no room for anything else. Rooms are small and old, but the location is definitely rewarding. The staff is very friendly, as most Turks are. Breakfasts are absolutely great. The view from the hotel is almost divine. And if you visit the hotel during warm weather season – you will love the small, romantic garden patio they have. After tree trips to Turkey and experience with at least 7 hotels, Tash Konak is definitely a place we will be back.

I stayed at Task Konak for 5 nights during december (29.12.08-3.01.09) with 5 friends . Everything was perfect, from the room cleanliness to the personnel courtesy and the exceptional breakfast you can take on the 3rd floor terrace with sea view. The only possible thing I would improve in this hotel is the room soundproofing - because when we were having a quite friendly chat in one of the 3 rooms - we really annoyed some other very sensitive guests to the point that they came knocking at our door. Otherwise, I repeat, we thank the owners and the hotel personnel for the lovely time we spent at their location!

Great location with amazing views from breakfast room. Very helpful staff. Very comfortable rooms - if a bit small.

Nice hotel, they offered me parking for free. The only problem was that my room was noisy because of windows facing to the street. I would recommend this hotel for those who need good location - 5 minutes from Blue Mosque.

Great hotel, fantastic roof-top terrace breakfast area with water views, but location somewhat hard to find, even for local taxi drivers. Paid for a double room but received twin room instead.

Staying at the Tash Konak was a simply fantastic experience! The rooms were modern and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was exquisite.... All for such a reasonable price... If I ever go to istabul again, this is where I'll be staying!

The service, hotel itself, and safety of the hotel were all great! My only complaint was that the hotel was a bit out of the way, being on a random backroad near the Blue Mosque. I'd recommend it for sure though.

Great quiet location although it may be hard to find at first. Other than breakfast no food is served. We have already been back since.

Very charming place (an old ottoman house), a perfect location to visit touristic sites of Sultanahmet, Istanbul (very close to the Blue Mosque and St-Sophia). Very nice courtyard with a fig-tree, and a rooftop terrace with a view over the Marmara sea. Breakfast is served there : hearty buffet with turkish sepcialities. The room has all facilities (bathroom, A/C) and is very calm. Unfortunately we had two small beds instead of a big one...

My wife and myself stayed at this hotel for almost 14 days and found most of the things up to our expectations. We had previously stayed at a 3 star hotel in Dubai and felt that the standard was not at par with hotels there but the best thing about this hotel is the staff. They made us feel like family and soon the difference between Dubai and Istanbul vanished. We realized how impersonal the staff was in Dubai. Each and everyone of the staff is a gem, they are helpful, friendly and polite. The second best thing is the location which is very near to most tourist sites but yet the immediate surroundings are quiet and peaceful. We would not stay anywhere else in Istanbul and would strongly recommend this hotel to all who plan to go there.

Pleasant small hotel, friendly helpful staff with good command of English. A good option if you want to be in the Old town section close to all the sights.
