Antique buildings of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian origin, make up this 8 houses hotel. Under phase 1, 8 rooms & 6 suites are now open. For Malaysia this is a new concept of hotel where the villas can be rented as one, or as individual hotel rooms. Each building has, over its 70-110 years old history, created its own heart and soul. Hopefully we have given due respect to each of these family homes with the restoration process. These houses are now the continuing story of people who live in them, our guests. The project was conceptualized by the owner to be able to extend her other passion project, Langkawi Animal Shelter and Sanctuary Foundation (LASSie). A percentage of all profits go direct to LASSie, for the foundation to be able to continue its work on the island with stray animals. Bon Ton Resort Langkawi is one of the island's most stylish, unique and intimate resorts, with eight individually styled antique Malay villas, the perfect small boutique hotel. Nam Restaurant at Bon Ton is regarded as one of the best on the island. Temple Tree fully supports LASSie, Langkawi Animal Shelter & Sanctuary Foundation.

Getting there:
Temple Tree at Bon Ton is located just about 7 to 10 minutes from Langkawi airport & about 2 minutes from the main beach of Pantai Cenang on Pulau Langkawi. BY AIR: Fly to Langkawi International Airport at Padang Matsirat. Most flights will go via Singapore, Penang or Kuala Lumpur. From Langkawi Airport: Temple Tree is about 7-10 minutes drive from the airport. Most guests arrive by taxi or rental car. We could also assist you to arrange rental cars during your stay. BY FERRY: Journey times to Langkawi range from 45 minutes to 3 hours by sea, depending on point of embarkation. Departure points are from Kuala Perlis, Kuala Kedah, and Georgetown on Penang Island. Visitors from Thailand depart from Satun.

Check-in Procedure:
Check-in time is after 1400hours and check-out time is at 1200hours. Any request for early check-in is subjected to the availability upon arrival.

Estate House (4/5)

This house was converted from one of a long house for Indian workers on a rubber estate which was built in 1940s. The style is very typical of Estate workers housing throughout Malaysia. It has terracotta-tiled floors, bedroom or living space and separate bathrooms with a verandah at the front. The all white painted interiors contrasts with the thick wooden beams of the roof. Each Estate House is totally different in furniture, antiques and decoration. This is with 1 King-size bed and it has showers only. Continental breakfast will be placed in your fridge the night before.

Colonial 1 (House)

This is with 1 Queen-size bed. It has separate entrances and outdoor private gardens with wooden tubs and sunloungers. Continental breakfast will be placed in your fridge the night before.

Estate House (1/2)

Penang 2 (House)

This house was built in the early 1930s by a Chinese Contractor and was originally situated next to busy Gurney Drive. The original exterior colour has been kept with two entrances. The back section is Penang 2, which is one suite with one bedroom, living room, separate dressing room and a bathroom. This is with 1 King-size bed and Continental breakfast will be placed in your fridge the night before.

Penang 1 (House)

This house was built in the early 1930s by a Chinese Contractor and was originally situated next to busy Gurney Drive. The original exterior colour has been kept with two entrances. The front section is Penang 1, which is one suite with two bedrooms, living room and separate TV room and a bathroom. 1 room is with 1 King-size bed and 1 single bed in another room. Continental breakfast will be placed in your fridge the night before.

Colonial 4 (House)

This is situated upstairs at the front, with separate living space, a family bath hall and 2 separate bedrooms both with ensuites. One room is with 1 King-size bed and two single beds in another room. Continental breakfast will be placed in your fridge the night before.
