"The location is beautiful. The hotel is elegant, and service was pleasant. I would stay there again. What did surprise me is that there are mosquitoes on the premises and when I left my window open at night I had to suffer their nuisance. On the other islands where I stayed in the Azores I did not come across any mosquitoes, and it was safe to leave the windows open at night. I also wonder why Azorean hotels don't offer free wireless internet." - Anonymous

Leave the airport to the hotel, you will have to for the directions marks ahead of you. The one you have to follow is ANGRA DO HEROÍSMO. Once you are in the highway, you have to ride 20 kms straight never changing direction even if you see several ways outs.Just finishing this highway.You will easily find a roundabout with different ways outs. At this time you are already in ANGRA DO HEROISMO, the major city and capital of Terceira Island, but in the higher roads, so to say in the ring of the city.At this point, the best direction to choose is SILVEIRA and never going to CENTRO (which means Centre). Now you will pass at least 3 roundabouts with different destinations but please follow the SILVEIRA direction. At the end of this ring that ends precisely with Silveira, you will see at the opposite side of this big place, with a small garden in the centre. When passing the roundabout drive straight away, more 100 metres ahead you will finally find at your right TERCEIRA MAR HOTEL. |
