Getting there:
Leave the airport on the motorway and stay on this road. Follow the signs Ribeira Grande /Furnas until you get to the road Ponta Delgada – Ribeira Grande.Before arriving at Ribeira Grande you get to a roundabout with a modern stone monument. Follow the sign to Furnas and drive past Ribeira Grande on a recently constructed road.Pass two tea factories and shortly after the tea factory “Gorreana” you turn right, following the sign to Furnas. Drive past the golf course on your right and continue until you get into the village of Furnas. Follow the road until you reach an intersection with a church on your left and Tony’s Restaurant across from you. Take the road on your right and continue on. After a few hundred metres, the road turns left and you will pass several parks and gardens. At the next crossing, take a left (the road turning right would take you to the lake). After 150 metres you find the Terra Nostra Hotel on your right.
