Getting there:Via Christchurch - Darfield Drive West on the Main West Coast Road (SH 73) through Yaldhurst. Stay on SH73 until you come to Darfield (approximately 25 minutes). Turn left at the end of the town to Methven and Mount Hutt on SH 72. Take this road, passing through Glentunnel. After 37km SH72 turns sharp left (at the Windwhistle Garage). Take the road straight ahead (be very careful of the turn) with the garage on the left, this will join you up with Coleridge Road - continue for 6kms until you reach Terrace Downs. Follow the yellow A.A. signs. Look for the rock-walled entranceway on your left. Via South - Inland SH72 From Geraldine travel North along SH 72 on the inland scenic route, Follow the signs to Mount Hutt and Rakaia Gorge. When you reach the Gorge cross over the two bridges, continue on the main highway right to the top of the Gorge and take the first road on the left (Coleridge Road) which directs you to the resort, following the yellow A.A. signs.
Check-in Procedure:When you arrive at the resort, proceed directly down the main drive until you reach the Club House, which houses Reception and the Restaurant. Check in is between 3.00pm and 10.00pm. If you are arriving outside these times, please contact the Resort directly to make arrangements for your arrival.
Car parking:All accommodation has either a remote controlled garage or a covered car port. There is also plenty of parking at the Club House for diners and golfers.
Child Policy:Children under twelve years of age no charge when sharing with adults and using existing bedding.

My family enjoyed a great late season ski holiday using Terrace Downs as our base for Mt Hutt. Our accomodation was a two bed two bathroom villa and was fabulous. Built in 2005 and equipped to high standards eg granite worktops, gleaming spa, this is undoubtedly the premier location for skiers or golfers who want luxury accomodation. View over the mountain was spectacular. We dined in the bar area rather than the gourmet resturant , and the menu and wine list was fine , with excellent service. Suggest you book through Hotelclub as its much better than the hotel site

The second room has its own bathroom and a balcony capturing the morning sun. These 3-4 bedroom properties are located along the fairways of the front 9 holes of the golf course. The chalets feature stylish indoor/outdoor living areas capturing spectacular views of the golf course and the Southern Alps. Each house is uniquely different in theme, and all have at least two full bathrooms, laundry facilities, a fully equipped kitchen along with spacious bed, living and dining rooms.
The chalet we stayed in was beautifully fitted out with everything we could possibly need for our stay - we only wished we could have more time there!!! I cannot put into words the breathtaking views from our windows to the snow covered alps! Very peaceful setting and would recommend this resort to couples, groups or families for a relaxing holiday or as a close base to ski in Mt Hutt or Mt Olympus.
The accommodation was fantastic, views spectacular. Was slightly disappointed with the evening menu in the lodge house. Was quite pricey, and had no lighter options. We opted for eating out in Methven instead. Would have been great if they also had some sort of room service facility for food.
The Villa was immaculate, cosy and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. This website made it affordable.
This resort is fabulous! It would have to be one of the best stays we have had anywhere in the world.

Absolutely fantastic accommodation. Out of this world spa and changing facilities. A little lacking in the overall landscape but this is because it is so new. Very helpful staff, a must if you like golf.
