every thing was too good

Location was strategic but for the price we paid, it wasn't a great value as we were at the direct pool access room and there were so many insects at our patio.

This was our second stay at the Thara Patong after being there a year earlier. We were again travelling with our 4 year old child. The Thara has everything you could possible need. We stayed in a Deluxe room in the Palm wing on the ground floor. The back patio/balcony area of our room looked directly over the main pool. It was nice to sit out and enjoy a few drinks before heading out for the evening. The staff here are all excellent, we have never has any issues over anything. Breakfast is great. The location is perfect. Its about a 5 minute walk to Bangla Rd and about 10 minute walk to Jungcylon Shopping centre. The hotel has two entrances so you can walk a different way each day to see other parts of Patong. It is about a 2 minute walk to the beach. There are 2 large pools and 1 kiddie pool. Plenty of loungers. I can highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great stay in Patong.

located very close to main attractions and shops and restaurants. 5 mins walk to the beach. Hotel has 2 big pools Breakfast good Internet access at a reasonable price Room is spacious and has a king size double bed with view of swimming pool

Everything was great

Difficult for Staff to speak in English. Complementary Internet in the room is a must. Good value for money- enjoyed the breakfast, although rest captain was not friendly.

The hotel upgraded our room to deluxe for free, and that was great. The swimming pools was very well maintained and clean, my children loved it. The buffet breakfast also was good, a wide choice of selections.

the food and drinks are expensive the staff are great location awsome all in all a good place to stay dont buy a suit from the mode tailor we paid for suit and never got it

I travel to Thailand a lot for business but this was only my 2nd trip to Phuket, the 1st being 20 years ago & there seems to have been a cultural shift in my opinion. The land of smiles has been replaced with something more jaded & cynical. The hotel is in a great location,easy walking distance to the beach, shopping & night life. Nice pools & decent facilities. The staff were all sort of friendly,but it all seemed a bit forced.I was kept waiting for over 30 minute to check in on arrival, with not so much as a cool drink offered whilst I waited Maids were quite grumpy when I asked them to clean my room later in the day instead of when they wanted to, which was when they rang my bell at 9.30 am. Breakfast staff were apathetic,barely raising a smile each morning, never once escorted me to a table nor offered to fill my coffee cup.I was just left to discover where the brew was kept & then expected to help myself.I'd stay there again because of the location & the good value for money.

Very nice hotel, excellently priced with good facilities and close to the beach.

One complaint only, the bar fridge in our room was not cold ! Otherwise Thara Patong was great. Ideal location, great service and fantastic breakfast. Fantastic value for money and highly recommended.

A very nice hotel and I would stay there again. Some of the staff at reception weren't very friendly but it certainly didn't ruin my stay.

Typical large hotel. Good facilities and location with slightly impersonal service. No real complaints.

across the street from the beach - good facilities - good staff and service except for in the restraunt where the service is very very slow and the wait for the food was about 45 minutes - suggest you stick to the buffet which is good and you can serve yourself - great breakfast buffet

The Thara Patong is a very friendly place to stay, the food in the hotel restaurant was excellent.

We booked 9 nights in a superior room and on arrival were upgraded to deluxe for the duration. Fabulous hotel, great location in the middle of everything & accorss the road from the beach but rooms were quiet as they surround two swimming pools and a tropical garden. Excellent value, will definitely return.

I enjoyed staying at the thara patong it is a great clean resort with great service and facilities. Id definately stay again great place.

Great Location. Good facilities. Staff pleasant. Rooms good - no problems but not fabulous. Maybe deserve a 3 - 3.5 Star rather than 4. Overall a good resort/hotel however.

Last time I stayed at his hotel was in 1998. There is buildt a new wing, but the old ones need renovation. The breakfast buffet is typical for package tourist hotel and is nothing special. The rooms are overlooking the pool area and have a small balcony. Overall this hotel is overpriced compared to many other hotels in the area.
