The Albion, built in 1873, is one of New Zealand’s oldest and well maintained hotels, located in the heart of Auckland City. This historical hotel is situated near some of New Zealands finest dining, shopping, entertainment and business centres. It is within walking distance to the popular Queen St shops, Auckland’s famous Viaduct Harbour, Sky City’s Casino and Sky Tower, Vector Arena, Aotea Performing Arts Centre, The Civic Theatre, Auckland’s Town Hall and Aotea Square. Albion Restaurant & Bar The Brasserie Restaurant has seating for sixty people and we welcome Christmas Functions, Birthday Parties and other large bookings. Breakfast is served from 7am—2.30pm Monday to Friday and 7am—11am Saturday and Sunday. Lunch is available from 12pm—2.30pm Monday to Friday. Dinner is available from 5pm—9.30pm Tuesday to Saturday. Bar The Office Bar is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day except for Christmas Day and Easter Sunday (closed all day) and Anzac Day (closed half a day). The Office Bar offers a wide range of New Zealand beers, award winning New Zealand wines and a variety of entertainment that includes 18 Gaming Machines, TAB, Pool Table, Jukebox and Sky TV on the Big Screen for all major sporting events. Internet Internet facilities are available at all times. Gaming area Only Adults 18 years and above is permitted into the Gaming Area.

Car parking:We do not have carparking available with the Hotel however the Skycity carpark is straight accross the road from us. It is free to park on the street after 6pm until 8am Mon to Fri and all day Sunday.

awesome stay. beds comfy as. the room wasnt flash but loved the fact that the windows opened and could let a breeze go through. old skool hotel be prepared for stairs. great workout after a couple of beers at the bar.

Very stuffy rooms. No fans/no aircondition. Great floor managers apart from some cheeky/disrespectful junior.

perfect for what we needed, close to where we wanted to be. clean and tidy. bit weird comming downstairs at 9am on a sat morn to find people drinking like it was sat night.....but otherwise fine!
we had a good stay the only thing i didn't like was climbing the stairs to our room we were on the top floor it was very hard work as we are not that young.

Great location right in the city and don't think you could get much cheaper. Would probably give breakfast a miss next time just coz the dining room is underground! Large portions tho. 24 hour bar is a bonus if you arrive back in the early hours and need a drink or something to eat.The rooms are as noisy as the city!

Great last minute getaway. We stayed New Years Eve. The room was small, but clean & adequate for our needs. The staff were very helpful, friendly and approachable.Excellent location, although no parking facilities may make this difficult for out of town travellers.
Rooms need a make over to make it more inviting
I arrived late so only the very pleasant barmaid was available to settle me in. My room and the entrance foyer were clean with olde worlde quaintness. What I had not realised was the ramifications of staying in a 24 hour pub with karaoke. Intermittent sleep was possible and I did have enough sleep but only just.
