"Fantastic hotel I cannot say this enough! Stay as long as you can and hire a car to do some looking around the island. The staff were frinedly and very helpful, great pool, great food, great location, great rooms, clean beach (but do bring some sea/surf shoes as my friend got a nasty cut on her feet from the coral in the water but we still had a great time). If you like wildlife then there are lovely birds and monkeys that come from time-to time and if ur lucky they will have their babies with them, I loved it so much I cannot wait to go back to this hotel. Hotel description:    Situated on the mystical island of Langkawi to the north of the Malaysian peninsula is The Andaman - a 5-star resort managed by GHM Hotels & Resorts. The Andaman is built into the heart of a 50 million-year-old virgin tropical rainforest, cradled between the majestic Mat Cincang mountain range and the deep-blue Andaman Sea.

The Resort features 186 rooms, designed in traditional Malaysian style, each with king or twin beds, mini-bar, espresso machines and tea-making facilities, flat screen televisions, individually controlled air conditioning, in-room safe, IDD telephone lines and standing balconies. The 25 Lanai rooms feature sunning decks reaching out to the jungle whilst The Executive Suites and Presidential Suite feature king-size beds, a separate living area, spacious balcony and private bar.
