Hotel was great, very funky and modern. However the motel needs an internet kiosk and new pillows! The pillows were terrible! Otherwise fantastic
No frills stay which suited exactly what we needed. I would happily stay there again if in Cardiff for a day or 2.
A very modern, friendly and well located hotel Ideal for Rugby trips, hen/stag parties and those that want to be at the heart of a lively city. Hotel is 5 mins walk away from the main train station and 5 mins walk away from the nightlife (St. Marys Street) Our room was a budget twin (two single beds) on the 7th floor. The room was clean and spacious. Plenty of towels and free view TV (all channels) The staff at reception were very helpful and polite and the hotel bar is open 24 hours with reasonable bar prices. We managed to get a parking space but we got their at 10.30am (bang on check out time) which is 4.5 hours too early for checking in. If you are travelling by car make sure you have a look for car parks before you travel as some on the city car parks charge £20 a night. I will definitely stay there again.
The room was too warm with no ability to open a window or air con. The curtains clearly used to be light blue but now have a coating of dust on them which means their brown. Room was on the 8th floor and the lifts screeched during transit. Lifts didn't feel safe. Lovely service from the front desk - very polite. Fresh towels and new bed linen was put on dirty floor outside each door in the morning by cleaner. Very unhygienic!
room very clean ,staff pleasent ,it was ok for the price . i booked very late and was after a cheap deal ,this was good on price ,clean and comfortable ,breakfast served in either a very modern environment or very basic depends on your view ,it was a good continental breakfast . overall if your after a no thrills hotel it does well ,if you have a bit of cash and want those nice touches then go upmarket .
Excellent central location with basic but clean and well maintained rooms. Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Will definitely use again.
Excellent location, tv in the room with freview, shower and bathroom were clean...dodgy looking curtains, found it noisy at night (however it was a friday night) breakfast is self service - i thought it was decent enough. i liked it - did the job for me but my girlfriend didnt like it - but you know what women are like.
There were problems with my booking and with the room key when I first arrived. However the staff were courteous and helpful in dealing with this and in answering my questions in general. Overall it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
A good basic hotel at attractive rates with "modern" / Ikea-style decor. A great deal for the money. Would stay there again...
The hotel was nice. It was very basic but you get what you pay for. Check the directions as we spent at least 30-40 mins trying to find the hotel as the ones from the website and the extra ones from the AA didn't seem to take into account all the bus lanes and one way street's Etc. But enjoy it if you stay there it's in a very good location for the town centre.
I would go back again it was a nice place.
A short but very convenient and comfortable stay.
The stay was very good but the fire alarm went off at 7.30 we got to fire point, No staff explanded what was going on ? Then 10 minutes later the alarm stopped we all went back to our rooms. No explanations. The breakfast was very good, (good selection) when I did get dressed. Good Hotel.
The room was classed as a budget twin, if the size if the size of it is what they call budget then the others must be huge. The parking is very limited but there is an NCP car park next to it. It is 5mins walk from the train station and about 10mins walk from the Millenium stadium and the shopping area.
Very comfortable; Clean and warm. Within easy reach of the Railway station which was important to me, and within easy reach of restaurants etc., but away from nightlife activity. Very pleased and highly recommended.
Had a lovely stay at this hotel, however, there are potential difficulties with the car park. Overall, great value for money.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location, and quiet except for the trains!
