The Burlington Hotel Dublin Guest Reviews

5 out of 5

The hotel for the special price couldnt be better.

3 out of 5

Staff were helpful and friendly, got me a room when I arrived early. The room was spacious and clean, though the hotel is a little homely (large but hardly charming) and shows some wear. Location is fine, about a 15 minute walk from Grafton Street. The only downside is that this big hotel hosts a lot of events and parties, and with the thin walls, hearing drunken revelers staggering and shouting in the halls until 5:00 each morning gets old.

From the point of entry to exit, staff were very kind, understanding and helpful! Heating was never an issue for us visiting from the caribbean during this winter/christmas time! we were kept very warm and cosy all the way of our stay! Visitors should be aware of the need for the revalant outlet adaptors to render US appliances functional! The hotel should next time be well stocked and offer this amenity free for non-EU citizens!

The hotel seemed to be very well taken care of. I had trouble keeping warm from the second I entered. We arrived at 7 am and could not get into a room until 1130am so we FROZE in the lobby (next to the non-heat producing fireplace). The front desk didn't seem too eager to go out of their way for ANYTHING. Whenever we asked a question, we felt as if we were inconveniencing them and that we were being talked about as we walked away. I wish we had a thermostat in the room and better customer service. Overall experience was a little less than average. The last night we were there a fire alarm sounded and we ran down to the lobby and we were stared at. The staff said it was a mistake, no big deal. We were annoyed because it went off just as we got into bed. The concierge on the other hand was phenomenal at helping us with what we needed and we always dealt with someone friendly, as opposed to front desk staff.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Dublin is terrific and the people there are so kind and warm. The hotel was great and the staff very responsive. My only warning is to be careful if you rent a car...there are so many one way streets that change names that we did have to drive around for an hour trying to find a series of one-way streets that would get us back to the hotel. However, the streets are not the hotel's fault:) Also, there is a large, modern bar in the hotel and it tends to draw a "classy" party crowd until well into the early morning (4:30 am) but we did not hear them from our room so it was not a noise problem and it would be very handy you were interested in a night-cap at the hotel. You will like this hotel and you can't beat the rates.

I found this hotel to be centrally located to a lot of sites. There was a taxi stand right outside as well as a bus stop right in front of the hotel for easy access. I was able to be picked up right outside for day bus tours and city tours. the staff was friendly and helpful whenever I asked. It was a busy hotel as well as weekend but my needs were always met. the only disappointment I had was that I could not regulate the temperature of my room. To remedy that they did bring me a fan and shut off the heat which was very helpful. Overall a good deal and lovely hotel. I'd go again given the chance.

My husband and I stayed at the Burlington for a week. It is in a perfect location - a 10 minute walk to city centre for shopping and local pubs. At night, you are away from the noise. There are taxis right outside if you don't want to do the walk. The taxi ride is about 10 to 12 euros. The concierge desk was extremely helpful with getting us information about traveling around the city. The restaurant, Bellini, had decent food and offered a late night room service which was helpful since many restaurants closed earlier than we were used to (we're from NYC).We would stay at the Burlington again. The lobby is beauty, but the upper floors do need so updating. But, if you just need somewhere to sleep at night, while you explore the city by day, the Burlington will suffice.

I stayed at this hotel with 7 others (we had 3 rooms). The hotel check in was very swift and the receptionist was very polite. The rooms (all 3) we immaculately clean. The rooms were spacious and lots of toilitries were provided. The hotel is centrally located and taxis are abundant. We had a quick breakfast in the lobby area which was lovely, beautiful scones and tea for about 4 euro. Would most definitely stay here again.

Great hotel. Good breakfast included. Rooms and beds very clean and comfortable. A bit of a walk to town but not bad, good exercise. Only negative was that we got locked out of our room a couple of times and had to go back to the desk to have our key reactivated. Not sure of the reason. Good price. Would definitely recommend.

Burlington Hotel is conveniently located with the AirCoach from Dublin Airport stopping directly in front of the hotel. It is very clean. Although staff could appear more friendly and welcoming, it is nevertheless a great place to stay.

A proper Hotel- we had date issues due to weather changing our travel and they looked after us without a fuss and this was on New Years Eve and the hotel was packed! - they even gave the same internet rate we had booked earlier on the other nights when they could have charged the earth . A great night was had and a fantastic stay ( 5 days) . We had friends come visit from all over who had not been here in years and they had a ball and said they will return to the bar as the staff were great and the drinks and food were fantastic. I am from Dublin and my Mom And Dad used to say this is the best Hotel in Dublin- I think History has repeated its self
