a fantastic resort a little of out the town of Byron however a free shuttle service is available. a little expensive but well worth it for a special weekend.
We can not fault The Byron At Byron Resort & Spa at all. My husband and I had the most relaxing, welcoming stay we have ever experienced, the only problem was we only had 3 nights there. The food was amazing, the staff with no exception were wonderful, friendly and welcoming. We actually met the manager who came and talked to us and bought us a bottle of wine. Sitting out on the decking was an experience we cant wait to do again. The rooms were stunning and there cleaniness was faultless. We will be returning hopefully in the next 6 months, definitely before the end of 2011.
Brilliant location and design in rainforest. An experience which is added to by the friendly professional staff and great food. Oddly coffee tea and bread options at breakfast are ordinary - all the rest is exceptional and exceeded our expectations. Recommended.
We are returning guests to this hotel this being our third time there. Its a fantastic place to relax and unwind, the lovely rainforest trees around the whole complex give a sense of tranquility. Our highlight is the complimentary yoga every morning lead by a very good teacher Sheldon. The restaurant offers very good food with fresh produce. We will definitely be going back again sometime soon. FL
very good no preoblems.
Beautiful resort, excellent facilites, Luke on Reception was extremely helpful. Useful to have free half hour internet access daily from dedicated guest computer\printer. Lovely Spa treatments. Only 30 minutes leisurely drive from Ballina airport. Will definitely revisit this hotel.
The setting amongst the lush, peaceful hinterland was just perfect. We arrived at the Byron very tired after a long journey driving from Sydney and were greeted by friendly staff. We had booked and paid for a Deluxe Spa Suite a month before and were disappointed we were given a 'standard' room instead. We were even more annoyed that we were not advised of this by the hotel when we checked in and only discovered this the following day when I noticed we didn't have a spa! I contacted reservations and they confirmed we had been given the standard (known as the Superior room) as the resort was fully booked. They offered to include breakfast which we accepted. Pros: Modern, spacious rooms. Great restaurant and pool area. Cons: Dryer in the room didn't dry the clothes!
An excellent hotel in all ways, not cheap but worth the money if you appreciate a little indulgence.
We really enjoyed our stay. The food in the restaurant was great, massage was fantastic. We had a problem with something we washed in their washing machine that came out with terrible marks. They gave us a voucher to use in the gift shop which helped us feel better about the loss of the item.We thought that was a great way to deal with the problem.Very relaxing time.Would return.
We stayed for 2 nights and were very happy with the rerstaurant service. Staff were very friendly. The apartment's bedroom windows and flyscreen, however, were filthy with dust and dirt on it. Airconditioning was noisy.
This is a great place to stay for a hideaway. Close to Byron with your own private beach. Sent my daughter here for her honeymoon and she loved it. The staff were fantastic and made her stay very special.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Byron at Byron, it was relaxing and the little touches such as a packet of delicious Byron cookies on our arrival and the champagne in ice bucket for my husband's birthday were very thoughtful and lovely. The yoga session taught by a very good yoga teacher was what we looked forward to every morning. The pool was very clean and refreshing and staff are very friendly. Excellent resort and we will be returning.
Relaxing and beautiful place with unhurried sense of calm. Service can be a little slow however this seems to be in keeping with the pace of the place.
Excellent resort facilities and room are very generous with cooking facility. However we were slightly disappointed with the service and attentiveness and assistance of some of the resort staff. Despite being rated and viewed as one of best resort and spa in Australia, unfortunately, it has the feel and service of a typical 3/4 star hotel but with a luxury resort price tag. But despite the service, the resort setting is a good experience.
This is a wonderful resort and while we really enjoyed our stay it was much further from Byron Bay than anticipated - own transport required if staying for any length
Really nice hotel - very friendly staff. The only reason I said average for cleaniness is because the bedroom window was flithy...bathroom etc was clean. Rooms are a little walk away from the hotel facilities but nice and quiet. Pool area is kept clean and towels, magazines, creams etc are removed within minutes if you leave your sunbeds to go for lunch, so be prepared for that. Drinks and food are good. All in all a lovely hotel and I would go again.
We had a wonderful time at this resort. Who needs to go to Asia?
Gorgeous hotel, with very friendly reception staff. The rooms really feels like you are amongst nature, with modern facilities. Will definately stay here again.
