The Chateau Beachside Resort Surfers Paradise

Lovely room very clean very handy to everything.Would stay there again.

We had a one bedroom apartment, perfect position, so close to the beach, shops, restaurants and night life. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. It didn't have air/con but we had a wonderful breeze with the doors open and a great view of the beach,ocean,and pool area.

This hotel has the best location anybody could ask for - directly facing the beach and very close to restaurants, shops, fast food outlets etc. It was very clean on arrival, however, after about 4 days, I started noticing little cockroaches and a giant one in the lobby. Also, it looks much better in the pictures. I was disappointed when I saw the room, the furnishings are a lot older than expected. Behind one of the picture frames were full of dead bugs (I only lifted it after seeing a dead bug fall out), also, the colours of the pictures exposed to sun are much more dull than the one which was not exposed, making the room look even more dated. I doubt anyone is even going to read this review, but I'm annoyed at the staff - I booked a room with an oven but when I tried to use it, it didn't work. So, I asked the receptionist about it and she didn't know, so she sent someone who just turned the knobs and told me things which anyone would figure out by fiddling around with the knobs.

Its exactly what you pay for, the studios are spacious with fantastic views, the fixtures/furnture slightly dated but all really clean and in good condition. The location is fantastic with everyhting on the doorstep. Could not fault this for the price.

Great value for money, excellent location

GREAT Location, beach literally right outside your door. Room was clean, except the floors were still wet when we arrived as they had mixed up our arrival time. Service was great as well as the facilities. Would def. recommend. :)

i loved this hotel very friendly staff great facilites,pool,spa,steam and games room etc... great veiw of the ocean (shame road works being done at time of stay not a hassel but) close to everything well done keep up the good work

Definitely an older set of apartments, but who wants to stay inside on the Gold Coast anyway? Don't believe the studio room pics on the profile - room was considerably older with old appliances, TV and fittings, but the bed was comfortable and the location superb.

Excellent Reception Staff when we checked in Friday night, unfortunately it rained the entire time.

Not new, not luxurious, but my room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location and views were excellent, the staff friendly and helpful, and the coffee shop on the ground floor did good breakfasts and great coffee. No extra charge for secure parking (unlike some places on the Gold Coast).

this hotel was in a great location, was clean and had great facilities.

Our room on the seventh floor was large with a lovely view. Contact with staff was solely with the reception desk, and each time they were polite, friendly and very helpful. A very pleasant stay.

Enjoyed my stay very much at The Chateau. Right along the beach, located within the heart or Surfers Paradise, Cavill Avenue was only a block away. Provides complimentary secure parking, that's always a bonus. Fantastic ocean views, if only we could actually see through the windows as they were extremely dirty. Apart from that everything was fantastic. Highly recommended and will definately go back.

Had a very nice view of the beach but was on the 1st floor which was a little too close to the street. The room was very nice and clean. The bathroom did have some rust on shower curtain railings and on the ceiling which is to be expected when the building is so close to sea. This is in an ideal location for Surfers night life, a walk across the road to the beach and close to shops and restaurants. The Reception staff were extremely helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay there again.

Everything is fine, close to beach... except having small insects (more than 10 throughout my stay) :(

True to its 3 star rating though its outlook and fantastic position gives to my mind 4 star value at a 3 star price.

Great location, clean and tidy. would stay again.
