Getting there:The Clay Hotel is only 2 blocks from the white sandy beaches, in the heart of the Art Deco District. The quickest way to get to the Clay Hotel from the Miami International Airport is either by taxi or Super shuttle, the airport van service. If you prefer to use public transportation, you may use the following directions: From the airport take the J bus to 41st St. and Alton Rd. Transfer to the C bus to 15th St. and Washington Ave. From the Greyhound station at Bayside Market take the C bus to 15th St. and Washington Ave. From Amtrak take the L bus to Lincoln Rd. and walk 3 blocks south along Washington Ave.

good location, nice and clean rooms
Nice Hotel but pretty basic. Liked the location
Location is great as it is a few blocks from Ocean Drive and a few blocks from Promenade. The Clay Hotel has free wireless, although a bit slow, and it works well. Most of staff behind counter were nice and helpful. It would be great if they clean the rooms just a bit better, but in the end, it is a good stay.
Some staff behind the counter were very friendly and helpful, but there were others who let the team down, and their service was below average - at times it was as if they were doing you a favour by providing expected service. It almost seemed like some staff thought they were only running a hostel, and not also a 3* hotel. On the whole though, a great hotel with spectacular location.
The price you pay granted it is below $100 is the price you get. This was an okay hotel just to sleep. If you had to pay $120 to stay in Miami Beach look elsewhere. Great location again if you're paying under $100. This hotel is just a couple of blocks from shopping and the beach.
Location on Washington and Espanola is a big plus. The initial room we had was terrible when we checked in, very congested with no facilities. However, after discussing with reception, they upgraded us to a twin double bedroom with little fuss and were very accommodating. This is a good place to stay if you are spending minimal time in your room like we did. The walls are a bit gross and the bathroom isn't very clean but it's ok.
I booked the hotel the day before. Excellent price and the location was great.Would recommend it.
