The Cleveland Hotel London Guest Reviews

Room was comfortable and location convenient - staff very helpful. A good location close to Bayswater and Paddington Tube stations . .

3 out of 5

Pros: Close to both subway and bus transit; Many shops, restaurants, money exchange places nearby; staff was polite and helpful Cons: Very small room for the value; 4 story building but no elevator for the first or fourth floors which means if you stay on the fourth floor you pretty much have to walk the steps both coming and going; no continental breakfast

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room is a little small for 4 people, but it depends on the room you end up with. Our parents were in another room and theirs were big. The location of the hotel is close enough to the paddington station that you can walk from there. There are also lots of shops near by which is on the queens way station. The staff always cleaned our room and provided everything we needed.

Our stay at the Cleveland started at just after 10am on the day we arrived in London. Although check-in wasn't until 2, our room was ready for us, and Barbara had absolutely no issue letting us check in this far ahead of time. She gave us a small tour and led us up to our room, she even apologized for it being the smallest room in the hotel (Number 32), but we found that it fit our needs wonderfully. We weren't planning on spending that much time in our room anyway. She showed us the features of the room as the porter brought our bags up (that poor soul, three floors up and three heavy bags), and then left to let us do our thing. Each day as we left we notified the girl at the desk that we were heading out and our room could be cleaned, and each evening upon our return we found the room perfectly reset. The bed was made, our breakfast dishes were done, and a new bathmat was waiting for us. For those curious about travel needs, the Cleveland is a very short walk from the Paddington train and tube stations. All in all, I give the Cleveland very high marks, and would recommend it to anyone looking for an upscale but inexpensive hotel in London.

Siisti, tilava huoneisto kolmelle henkilölle. Sijainti ei ihan paras mahdollinen mutta laatu huoneen osalta korvaa sijainnin.

I enjoyed staying at The Cleveland Hotel London: the facilities available in the room (sink, microwave, etc.) were very useful, however I would have liked the room to be cleaner: the carpet particularly appeared to need cleaning. The hotel and area was very quiet and close to trspt., shops and cafes. lovely to be in walking distance of the parks. I would consider staying there again.

Studio room was small & cramped and at top of 5 flights of stairs with no lift. Location is however excellent in quiet square 5mins from Queensway Tube station.

Located within 10-15 min walk of tube station and Hyde Park. Room was bigger than expected although not huge, adequate for the 2. Area was quiet but again, within 10 min walking distance of shops and eateries. The kitchenette was small but did the job for breakfast and small easy meals. Would probably stay again if in London.

The Cleveland is well located, and comes with a cupboard style kitchenette which is very handy. The rooms are roomy by London standards and is now our preferred accommodation when staying in london.

Staff were excellent. Friendly, Welcoming, Helpfull. Location was close to Paddington, Bayswater and Queensway railway stations giving immediate access to most of central London. The room was excellent with only minor problems mainly a malfunctioning room safe. Highly recommended.

Positives were the location was really good for anything you need. Room had a tiny bar fridge as well which is more than most in this price range. The size of the room was adequate. Negatives were poor attitude from all but one of the reception staff. There is no breakfast options we could see and there was some mould on a corner of the bathroom.

My wife and I found this hotel worth what we paid. The room was large with a 'hidden' kitchen, the breakfast was Continental brought to our room, we felt too expensive, however having a kitchen we catered for ourselves the rest of our time there. The only problem we had was that the newly installed lift stopped well short of our floor. At a similar price I would be happy to stay there again. (on a lower floor).

Pleasant, quiet location. We were roomed at the top of the building which would have been fine were it not for the 5 flights of stairs to reach it. The lift operated in the other part of the building which made transporting heavy luggage difficult. Room was small for 2 but the bed was very comfortable, although it could be a regular rather than a queen size, and the 'kitchen in a cupboard' facility well designed and useful.

the only aspect that let the hotel down was not having a gym or a bar but other than that it was a nice friendly and very clean hotel. Nice staff.

It's a very pleasant place to stay, only 6-7 minutes from paddington. The staff is friendly and the rooms very comfortable. Be careful because there are also rooms below stairs (and there is noise from upstairs). Ask to be sure you will be on floor.

A 'newish' hotel with good decor and cleanliness in a great location. Free wi-fi broadband is brilliant. Additional services are not the best including breakfast (had to be pre-ordered) and lounge facilities. Room was good with small kichen facilities but no comfortable chair.
