Getting there:* From the CBD travel along St Kilda Road approximately 2 kms, turn left into Toorak Road travel along approx 2 kms, turn left Chapel Street, about 300 metres down Chapel St you will pass a car park you will then have to turn right into The Como. * From Melbourne Airport, Exit the Tullamarine Airport and drive onto the Tullamarine Fwy. Continue until you cross the Bolte bridge (2 large pylons). You will then need to turn left onto the Westgate Fwy. When you approach Burnley tunnel there is a small side lane on the left leading into the city, Power St, take this road. At the second set of lights take a right onto City Rd. Continuing on this leads under the Arts Centre and St Kilda Rd bridge and becomes Alexandra Ave. Following the Yarra River (on your left), continue along Alexandra Ave. When you reach the Chapel St & Alexandra Ave Intersection take a right. About 300 metres down Chapel St you will pass a car park you will then have to turn left into The Como.
Check-in Procedure:Guest's are required to provide photo ID upon check in. They will also be asked to provide a credit card to cover incidentals. Where a credit card cannot be provided, $500 cash bond will be required for each night's accommodation.

very good hotel well-locate dnear shops at Chapel Street... has good indoor pool and a small but reasonably appointed gym. Rooms are good size and service excellent.
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel Como. we were upgraded to an excellent room and we found the service of staff and duty manager were wonderful.

Excellent staff,we were up graded to a suite which was great for New Years Eve.the only thing I would fault is the breakfast was ordinary.we ate in the breakfast room.
Private, quiet ,very central
The Como is a very comfortable hotel in a good suburban location near shopping for Chapel Street and Toorak Road. The reception staff were extremely polite and helpful.

We stayed in a one bedroom "studio" apartment. Bedroom and lounge area combined ( not such a comfy lounge suite) but if you like purple you will enjoy staying here. Wide hallways but minimal staff presence. Dated orange stone bathrooms, fairly ordinary breakfast room, no restaurant but they do a passable room service. Terrific location if you want to shop in Chapel Street or Richmond. We would stay at the Lyall or the Hatton any time over this overpriced and dated establishment.

There was a problem with room keys operating lifts and opening doors. It was a nuisance and was resolved. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

It was a great stay (we got a discounted package inc valet parking and breakfast). We felt we got the full price treatment and everything was of a great and high quality standard. The breakfast was excellent and all staff we dealt with were courteous, efficient and charming. We had a lovely time.

The Como is terrific, the staff are very professional, polite and great to deal with. The hotel itself is great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
This hotel was fantastic. The only disappointing aspect was that the kitchen did not come with a microwave. Having a young baby a microwave is essential for food prep and one of the reasons we chose this hotel was because we believed a microwave would be part of a full kitchen facility. Otherwise we were impressed.
