Getting there:FROM CHRISTCHURCH We are approx 3 1/2hrs drive South on SHW 8, once at Twizel we are a further 30kms South, cross the Ahuriri bridge and 2km's onwards next to the airfield on the left hand side. FROM QUEENSTOWN We are approx 2.5 hr drive North on SWH 8 towards Mt Cook, pass over the Lindis pass into Omarama. Once at Omarama we are 2km's north (SWH 8 towards Mt Cook) from the township on the right hand side next to the airport, if the Ahuriri bridge is crossed you have driven to far. FROM OAMARU We are 2.0 hr drive heading wastwards past the man-made dams. Drive through Otamatata and we are the next township. Once at Omarama turn right adjacent to the Mobil garage and head north (SWH 8 towards Mt Cook), we are 2km's from the township next to the airfield, if the Ahuriri bridge is crossed you have driven to far

A bit older place, but didn't dislike it, just was on the lower end of the scale from what we had been staying at throught New Zealand. Friendly staff. Worn carpet, but kind of added to the ambieance.
Not the most modern, but very comfortable with great service.
Rooms that have Double/Single configuration TV/radio, ensuite, phone, modem socket.
A comfortable hotel in a great 'gateway' location for Otago and MacKenzie Countries. The mattresses were unbearably soft though, and my husband and I had to use both beds in the room rather than share one - it was impossible to lie on the same bed without rolling in to each other! The staff were exceptionally friendly, the chef very good with a fabulous buffet. Location Location Location!!
A nicely located hotel with a panoramic mountain view next to an airfield....room was adequate though the tv only had 2 available channels (poor reception). Water pressure in the shower was rather low.... No hotel information was to be found in the room ..(being updated (according to the staff. Very spacious comfortable lounge and restaurant.. Food acceptable though dinner on the second night was obviously reheated.. Hotel was not busy and there seemed to be only 2 staff on duty having to do everything from working in the restaurant to bedmaking/linen service.However they were friendly and helpful..

Although the decore was tired and needing modernising, the staff were friendly and helpful. I appreciated the opportunity to have a room through Accom line as it was so much cheaper than the website of the hotel. Thanks
A welcome stop between Christchurch and Omerama, although quite a remote spot. Good, friendly accommodation and cosy atmosphere in the log fired sitting room.
Very helpful staff. Ideal hotel for stopover on route from Mount Cook area to either Queenstown or Dunedin.
Lovely hotel and the food in the bar was excellent. Staff very very friendly !!
