The hotel would have been nice in its day, but as for now the paint is peeling off the furniture and the fittings are all tarnished. The spa in the room was great. Although not worth paying $225.00.

We got a good rate as it was off season and even offered an up graded room. The manager V... was very very helpful and tried to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. When going to Taupo we will alway try to stay there. Wonderfull service and accomadation.
Can't say enough about the service. It was a pleasure staying there. The staff go out of their way to help and go beyond the call of duty to satisfy their customers. A++++
We found the location great and the staff friendly. The furnishings were starting to look a little tired.
whilst this hotel was well cleaned and serviced it was pretty tired as far as the decor went and I didn't feel it was up to the $250 that we had to pay for the room. I travel within nz quite frequently and for that price can get alot more modern and upmarket accommodation,therefore wouldn't stay there again.
Unit was clean, bed firm, however unit a has door between units. This door is very thin and lots of noise transfer.
We really enjoyed our time at The Cove. Would recommend to all and are planning on returning in the near future but we were disappointed about the resturant and bar no longer in service.
Studio room very small & very cramped for 2 people with luggage. Views were good and overall was nice.
Most enjoyable. Under new management and Vicky, one of the owners, kindly collected and returned me to the aiport. My suite was very comfortable and I enjoyed my stay. Only disappointment was that the in house restaurant, The Landing, has been closed, as The Cove is now a motel.
The private hot tub was fantastic relief after a long day driving. Exceptionally friendly staff and overal great experience.
