Hotel has a great location in NYC, on 41st near Madison, right by Grand Central. The rooms are modernly decorated, and look nice on the inside. Not much of a view outside, but what do you expect in the city? Also, there is no parking on the block, and the closest garages are $50 a day.
The hotel is a lovely small hotel that is very close to Grand Central Station. The rooms are small, but comfortable and provide a wonderful place to explore the city.
Well appointed room and efficient reception staff but would have expected more facilities for the price. Location was good and pillows and bed were very comfortable. Appreciated free wi-fi. Complimentary breakfast would have been a reasonable expectaton for the price.
Clean modern comfortable hotel, well located close to 5th Ave and Grand Central station. I didnt eat in the hotel but they seem to have a good restaurant. There are plenty of options to eat close to the hotel. There also seems to be good bus services to the airports which are convenient to the hotel - I used the bus service to Newark - which left from about 100 metres down the street. I would stay at this hotel again.
Good location... 2 min walk to Grand Central train/subway. Very modern hotel, good facilities and great service. Reasonably priced for Manhattan.
We found all the reception staff very helpful and courteous. The dining room staff were excellent the first day and slack the next. Liked the room but the bathroom was cramped.
Was great & central to the subway system. Quiet & good sized room on 14th floor. If only one managable discomfort was the bed, very soft & no bedboards available at the hotel. Would next time contact hotel to prearrange one (borrow from another hotel). Would stay there again!!
Perfect location, clean rooms and nice staff; recommended!
Modern rooms, very comfortable bed. Key attraction is central location - short walk to Grand Central Station. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Price was middle range - but I stayed in winter & only for 3 nights.
This is a great hotel in a great location in Manhatten and for a great price.. 2 blocks from GCS, 5 minutes walk to Times, Broadway and Downtown, 10 to ESB and 15 min train to CP and GZ for 140 a night.. 4 star hotel for a 2-3 star NY Price..
excellent, just wish it were cheaper for multiple day stays
We didn't like the loud knocks on our door after telling the cleaning staff that we'd be out in half an hour.
excellent hotel in prime location. I will come again
Although we were very happy to be upgraded to a junior suite, we did hear loud voices from guests in adjoining room in the morning. The location was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. I would definitely like to stay at this hotel again when visiting New York. It was small and personal and convenient for shopping, business or sightseeing and public transport. We were within a block of Grand Central Station and the pick up point for the airport shuttle. If given a choice of airport or city centre hotel for a short layover, I would definitely chose this hotel.
very friendly and helpful staff, hotel is very comfortable and in walking distance to main attractions and entertainment venues
Excellent location near 42 Street and Grand Central but in a quiet area. Lacks some of the faciliies found in larger hotels but compensated for by friendly staff. Good restaurant in the hotel but lots of alternatives in the area. Overall, a characterful hotel and a good base for exploring New York.
Pro: This is the quietest hotel in Midtown Manhanttan. Its location is most convenient, because of proximity to the airport shuttle bus at Grand Central, which at $15 is the more economical transportation than cab to all the airports. Con: Room is not large, just has high ceilings. Deco art wash basin in bathroom is shallow and tends to splash. Shower head over bath tub does not fit into its holder. Price for room is too high, but probably normal for that area of town.
Hotel excellent in many ways, IT support was especially good. But the room service was poor - they repeatedly forgot items.
good size rooms with good insulation from street noise. The gym is very poor with crampped space and poor equipment. Definitely needs upgrading. They charge $2 per local call despite using a tall free call card which I thought was excessive. There was no concierge service which was unusual especially for booking airport transfer. All in all however very friendly helpful staff and a nice stay
The service we experienced at the Dylan was great, from the front desk staff to our bartender. We checked in early with no problems, they held our bags when we checked out since we had the afternoon to continue checking out the city, and arranged for a car service back to JFK. You can't beat the location, you have so much so close.
