The Elegance Suites Bangkok Guest Reviews

3.2 out of 5

Whilst the staff were very polite and helpful right down to the concierge and bell boys, and the hotel room was large and adequate in facilities and clean, the location in a tiny street was not the most ideal especially for single female travellers who might be a little wary of the dimly lit street. On the other side of the coin, there was a very convenient 7 Eleven mini mart at the corner of the main road and street leading to the hotel and there was a large departmental store Robinsons across the road and 2 train stations not too far away.

I think for a 'budget' hotel you get much more than you pay for. My only complaint is that no hotel room in Bangkok should have carpeting. The carpeting usually ends up soaking up all the odors and insects and dirt. Other than that, the service is really good, the beds are comfortable, it is a great location, and it isn't too big. I really like the neighborhood, there are two really good local restaurants a few doors down, there are some really good street vendors close, and the room service food has always been good.

Hotel is within walking distance to skytrain. Taxi drivers may not know the place well. Need to tell them the place as Bangrat Robinson, then they will know where is the place.

Outstanding staff, excellent facilities - a real home away from home without the exorbitant Bangkok prices.

A home away from home, very competitively priced for a good quality hotel in Bangkok. Close to supermarket and Skytrain. Exceptional staff who looked after us very well...a home away from home. Really enjoyed our time there!!!

Good location if you want to be close to the river. Good value: big rooms for a moderate price. Don't go if you want a scenic view from your room window

I enjoyed my stay here very much,Good price and friendly staff,The only problem is some taxi drivers dont know where the hotel is,but you can pick up a map from reception and it explains in thai how to get to the hotel.5 mins walk from the hotel there is a department store calles Robinsons which is quite good.Around the corner from there you can get to the subway.I enjoyed my stay here and the pool on the roof is very nice and relaxing.

The hotel location is good since it is close to the sky train, robinson mall and 7 mints drive to silom road. but the surounding area of the hotel is very unattractive I was disappointed first when I arrived to the hotel and thought the hotel standard will also be poor. However, that was not situation. The hotel rooms are very spacious and lovely. We had a good a stay. Note: the hotel does not provide iron and iron board. You will need to have one.

My initial impression when I arrived was that I had made a mistake in selecting this hotel. However I changed my opinion when I settled into the room. It was comfortable and the service and food was good.

For a 3 & a half star this is a fine hotel indeed. Although the TV''s could do with actually receiving the quoted sat stations they claim. No English speaking channels received & teh two inhouse movie channels were never repaired during my 6 night stay there. Otherwise, great effort for a 3 Star. Thanks.

All these hotels are nice with great service but the locations are all over the board and traffic can be a real bitch especially near this hotel. So if you use taxi's expect a traffic backup of 1km at peak hours. And stay far away from the McDs in this neighborhood!

As a first timer in Bangkok, Best Western Elegance Suite was way better compared to the one I stayed in Sukhumvit. Booked 2 rooms, both of them were satisfactory, no complain. The reception was helpful and friendly. Can't beat the location, close to BTS and the river boat + street vendors around.

I have stayed at these apartments on 2 ocasions my main complaint is that I could no obtain an iron in the room to iron some shirts the evening before I checked out. The breakfast in the dining room is not very good.

The room was spacious and bright on the 8th floor. The bath tub was leaking during shower. It is recommended some movies be shown in addition to the normal programs. The roof top pool setting was pleasant. However, the jacuzzi was not working and water did not look quite clean. Staff was polite and friendly and able to speak pretty good english. Overall, quite a pleasant stay.

Excellent location for access to the Sathon Pier Ferry Terminal and Saphan Taksin Skytrain Station. Also excellent for leaving Bangkok, we were on the freeway system in 3 minutes after leaving the hotel. Our cab driver initially had trouble finding it due to confusion over English spellings of street names. See if you can get the address in Thai or directions before getting there. Rooms were clean and comfortable, good value at this price if you want to use it as a base to explore Bangkok.

Location is great. The service is on par with a good four star. Location is the best in Bangkok in my opinion if you want a hotel that's away from the tourist areas. The pricing is also good.
