Very near to convenient stores, restos and MTR. Area is also good because Bukit Bintang is the best place in KL. Hotel is clean and they have a very good service.--Rod Masukat/ Philippines

For those who drive to the hotel, parking is at the nearby Plaza Low Yat, no hotel parking. Hotel itself is very old, think the carpet has not been changed for ages, has iron marks on the room carpet. Room though spacious has no view, no complimentary internet provided, even at the lobby you will be charged for RM $10 for half hour use! The plus point is that it is very accessible to shopping and eating places, almost at the doorstep!

Very dated hotel (at least 10 years' old?), and facilities are basic. We were in room 627, a standard premier twin room, booked on the internet, it cost just under RM200 per night. There was an empty fridge, complimentary mineral water, a kettle with sechets of coffee and tea. TV with 12 channels so not much of a selection. Bathroom tolietries were basic - despite the double occupancy, only one set of these were provided! The room service was quite poor - towels and tissues papers were not replenished everyday. The front desk was busy during our visit - and there never seemed to be any more than two receptionists on duty at any time. The best bit - Jalan Aloh is just across the road through a short alley, so never a problem to find good value and quality meals. I stayed at nicer hotels before in KL - so is not likely to return to this one again.

Very central position for shopping & dining.

Good location. Walking distance to all the shopping areas like Pavilion, Starhill Gallery, Lot 10, BB Plaza and Berjaya Times Square. Sungei Wang Plaza and Low Yat Plaza are just located next to the hotel. About 3 mins walk to the nearest Imbi monorail station and less than 10mins walk to the Bukit Bintang station. The famous Jalan Alor Hawker Street is just across the road. The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. While checking in, the staff tried to get a double bedded room with a view facing the twin tower for us after we requested it(we managed to have it), although he had already assigned another room. And they also allowed us for late check-out till 2pm. The deluxe room is pretty spacious and clean. However, room slippers are not provided. We enjoyed our stay there, although for only one night.

This hotel has been around for some time and the water from the bath tub was yellowish. After complaining, we were upgraded to a better room but the water was still yellow. If you do not mind running the water for a gd while before bathing, the rest is fine and nice.

This was my fourth stay at the Federal Hotel. It is bang in the middle of the shopping district and not too far away from China Town. The bathrooms could do with a facelift but apart from that I wouldn't hesitate to stay there on my next trip to KL. Paying for breakfast is a waste of money as there are plenty of places you can eat that are much much cheaper.

Good location - was given a room in the new wind - very nice kept room, spacious and confortable - though the room faces the airwell. There is no control for air con in room and no way to adjust room temperature. Will certainly choose this hotel for my future visits.

A bit run down, old appliances, tiny, cramped bathroom with mouldy bath mat. Not 4 star in my opinion, maybe just 3.

this hotel is located in walking distance to all the shopping centers in bukit bintang.there is also an outdoor food center in the next street.a very touristy location.the hotel is old but well kept. our room which was a good size with a view of the service entrance possibly because it was so cheap.the breakfast was very good and crowded.the swimming pool is large and clean.I would stay here again.

I stayed in a delux room and found it to be lovely. The sheets, bed and pillows are of high quality and the breakfast was huge. I would happily stay there again.

Convenient location, generally good service except for 1 night casher in the coffeehouse who needs help in service training.

Excellent location and good breakfast but facilities and rooms look dated and tired even after refurb. Staff polite but not really very helpful. Better hotels in the area for the same price or less.

I'm a fan - never stay anywhere else in KL.
