"Chose this hotel during the WWDC because of the good offer available at this site. Rooms are plushly decorated but the single I got was rather narrow. Breakfast consists of coffee, orange juice & do-it-yourself bagels at the lobby. Staff were courteous & helpful. It's a bit of a steep climb if you'll need to walk to Union Square often." - Aaron Chuah
"Older hotel w/ small rooms and no amenities, except for a really cozy little wine bar (a hidden gem). Property is in good condition; bathroom appears to have been recently renovated, w/ good water pressure. Funky charm, reminds me of some old hotel you'd find in Europe. Note rooms don't have air conditioning, which isn't an issue much of the time in San Francisco. Don't get a room with street view though: you'll have to open windows for fresh air, and you'll get lots of noise from the busy street below. Saw all ages staying here. Not one of San Fran's more polished neighborhoods, but a number of good, inexpensive (and one expensive) restaurants in the same block. Don't know if I'd recommend this to the single female traveler. Centrally located. But the price was great and the staff was quite helpful. Parking is extra of course ($25 US)." - Anonymous
"Quaint Hotel, great price for the area - you can't beat the price for the area! The rooms are very small. Feels like a bed and breakfast atmosphere." - Kristin Nelson
"Pleasant, accomodating, well located, inexpensive" - Anonymous
