Consumer Reviews and Rating

"1. Car parking facilities bit far away especially for older people. 2. The lift is very old and like antique one, with the sound when its going up and down I feel scared and very worry for falling down. 3. The reception staff is not friendly. 4. Foods for breakfast are not much choices, only two between fried rice and omelet, not enough. 5. Overall may be that will the first and the last I would stay there. I won't stay there anymore unless very very very critical and no other places/hotel to stay, make it as last resort." - Anonymous

"Had no expectations going in, so no surprises. Hotel has history and ambiance but my room was definitely two-star at best. It is an interesting place - only two floors of rooms are being used, the rest blocked off - and there are large open spaces and balconies to explore. The hotel is a popular place for wedding and modelling photography due to its grand style. Once away from the centre, it becomes progressively shabbier and more tired. My room was large but very basic, broken window hinges, bad plumbing, rattly air conditioner, peeling paint, no phone. But it had a comfortable bed and a deep bath, and was well worth the rate. Staff were nonexistent, just a couple at reception, and my 6:25am wakeup doorknock happened at 5:50am. Safety is an issue, the fire stairs near my room were unlit and blocked with rubbish. Don't set your expectations high, and you'll like the hotel." - Charlie Lear

"Not a convenient hotel for wandering around KL but great if you are using the metro/train system. It's possible to walk to Central Market and China Town but they are not easy walks coming back at night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room clean - no top sheet provided just a blanket - this may put some people off. The echo inside the very large station building did cause a bit of noise when people were coming home late at night but I didn't hear trains. Would I stay there again ? Yes, for short trips and one night stays." - cheryl fankhauser

"This hotel is very budget - but I enyoyed my stay, the only I would recommend you definitely don't do and that's use the lobby toilets like I did. You may get a bit of a shock of the cleanliness. Otherwise the room was clean, there's no phone in the room, and no lift to the third floor if you have alot of baggage bear this in mind. I would stay here again though." - Anonymous
