easy to get to from the freeway. you have to pay 10 more dolars for parking...the stuff was nice. they have wireless internet
Old hotel, but good location if you have business around downtown area.
Offers one queen bed with a private bathroom, ideally suited to both business and leisure travelers. Comfortably sleeps a party of two.
Two double beds. Complimentary wireless Internet access, cable TV with pay movies, video games (surcharge), coffeemaker, and free local calls up to 30 minutes. Microwave and refrigerator available on request (surcharges).
Went to UCLA, Santa Monica and LA area. It was better than the Travelodge In San Francisco where we were last month.
I came to LA with my parents. The hotel is good, at least good for the price.
Indeed a historic hotel. The age shows, but service is excellent. Room is not modern but adequate. Excellent music in the lobby.
Internet connection so slow it was wortless.
room very small, bathroom a bit to small couldn't real move very cramped and needing sink repairs
A very decent hotel;very cheap and esp.its location was wonderful. However,we saw a cockroach in the room, but possibly that was due to fact that the building is quite old.Definitely recommended for travellers who are on a budget.
The hotel was beautiful, and the staff were very polite and helpful, but would forget to pass on'phone messages, and the hotel is in a really poor area with a lot of down and outs hanging around in the evening, but it is very centrally located.Just a short walk from the metro station and the Staples centre.
compare to previous visits, this hotel have really step up,very clean, staff friendlier, and i dont see no more junkies hanging out at the corner of the hotel.i really saw great improvement in general.great hotel.
I stayed at the Los Angeles MAYFAIR HOTEL several times over the last period. And I enjoyed those visits quite a lot. Ant that's why I returned. The hotel, of course, is old with a charming 'antique' atmosphere. Everything goes quietly its way. There's no rush, regarding anything. It's a wonderful place to quiet down.
Not a bad hotel to stay as we got the special fare deal. Need a bit of walking to get to downtown LA.
Reasonably priced meals enjoyed at the restaurant above the court-like interior of lobby. We'd enjoyed a 12th floor view of the magnificent skyscrapers. Also, the room with two single beds was adequate and closet deep for storage of luggage for two. We had hot water, shower adequate as well; non-smoking was honored, and a hall cove room was quiet. The elevator was clean, concierge service joyful and always ready to comply as bell-boy double. Front desk folks were courteous and knowledgable. NO complaints about the ramp parking...reasonable daily rate of $10 was agreeable. Enjoyed and would consider returning at any point. Highly recommended.
A fairly ok hotel suiting the budget. Good location, walking distance to central. Great historic hotel needing room renovations but otherwise adequate and budget.
Ideal hotel for my family and I to stay for a few days and see all the sites and sounds of Los Angeles. The tours we selected from the reception were just what we wanted to do and we were picked up from the hotel exactly on time every morning.
Good in terms of money and location. The hotel also provides free internet, which is very rare ! Awesome ! There are also tea and coffee making facilities
I enjoyed my stay very much. Everyone was very pleasant from the person at the desk to the servers in the restaurant. My room was clean and the bathroom was nice and large. I did walk to the LA Convention Center from the hotel but it is not an area that I would walk in the evening. The cabs were reasonable to get around.
Water pressure for Shower is very poor
The Fitness room is a liability. The equipment is old and every single piece-stepper,bike,treadmill,rower was broken or not useable in a safe manner. The weights were a joke and the benches were broken or not attached at all to the bench equip. Lots of signs to use at own risk but this is ridiculous! It was filthy, also. The rest of the hotel met our needs and the staff was nice. No Bedspreads on the bed, just sheets and blankets.
Parking really sucks and you have to pay extra. Make sure you pay for your parking at checkout because you can't pay at the gate. They made me park my car, and walk all the way back into the hotel to pay for parking. Very lame.
